Question Favourite Song of 2011?

It's a hard choice but I really do love Florence + the Machine "Leave my body" and "Shake it out" as well as a couple of Adele's songs.

2011 had terrible music. The only decent song was a cover of another decent song.

I agree with [MENTION=9799]Taake[/MENTION] . The best song released 2011 was "shake it out" by Florence + the machine. Aaand "i'll be yours" by those dancing days. I'm on My phone right now and can't link to the vid, but you guys should check it out, I LOVE that music video SO much, it makes me so happy. So does the song, I think of My best friends whenever I hear it.

My all time favourites Tegan and Sara also released a live album this year though... 🙂 but that doesn't really count though. 🙂
 
I can't think of any song released this past year I really really liked, it wasn't a very good music year for me. But the song from '11 that gets stuck in my head the most often has to be this...

I'm not putting the actual video up because... well, if you've seen it, you probably know why. Most people had trouble with getting that 'Friday' song stuck in thier head, but mine was 'Sexy and I know it'. I've found myself randomly dancing in stores because I hear it in my head LOL. Party Rock Anthem has a similar effect on me as well. If I think about it, I'm shuffling. Or attempting to anyways.

Yeah, I know I put Foster The People and Tinie Tempah on the list of fav songs from 2011...but here's another one. It's Suzie McNeil's Merry Go Round. (Yeah, I know...ANOTHER song I never heard of? Well, not if A. you live near the Canadian border and have access to their radio stations or B. using the internets to find it out.) Anyway, this is a bit of a downer of a song...but what a voice! (And she looks good, too!)

I can't find a proper youtube video, sadly, but I love "Connect" by ClariS. I also adore "Leave You In Love" by Gold Motel... it's not The Hush Sound, but it's good enough.

This sounds like how I want every night out to feel like.

Most people have mentioned Adele, and she was undoubtedly a massive star this year. For me, my favourite song off 21 was her cover of Lovesong by The Cure.

Everything about it - the choreography, the outfits, the singers - perfection.

2011 was more about getting into the greats like Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin than getting into new or current bands. So, the two songs that have dominated my year have actually been:
