Oh I had such trouble answering the poll. I love season four Wesley to death but... I really like Wesley no matter what he is doing.

Wesley is one of my favorite characters in the whole 'verse. He goes through so much and changes so drastically. Yet, despite all he goes through, he manages to find again who he was in the end. I voted for Angel S1 because I loved his idealistic campy goofiness back then, before he go all bitter and disillusioned. I was really upset with what they decided to do with Wes in the end. I'll leave it at that. I felt he deserved better considering he was a main character from the beginning.

I picked Angel s1 too simply because "Rogue Demon Hunter" makes me lol everytime.

I voted season 2 based entirely upon the episode "Guise Will Be Guise."

"That's just . . . nummy." . . . WHAT??!?! LOL

Though I do really like season 4 and 5 Wesley too.

Alright fine, I like all the Wesleys. But I still think season 2 is my fave.

Angel Season 4 (though I love 5 too). Every episode he was on, I was just in shock of how much he had changed from when he was introduced on Buffy. If there is a textbook on how to do character development, it better have a big chapter on Wesley.

I knew that no one, or almost no one but me would vote for Buffy season 3! But I have a good reason!

Wesley does have much more charm (and hotness) when he moved to Angel and stopped being a sissy. But the sissy Wesley was why I loved him so much. Not as a person, but as a character. He made me laugh hysterically, and newly improved Wesley does not make me laugh. He's too series (almost broodingly), manly, he has lost his funny character's charm. I feel that on Angel they ruined the character.

Now, when season 3 of Buffy aired, I didn't like him. But he did make me laugh. I love ridiculous characters. Now he's too dead to regain the funny charm.

It's impossible to choose ONE favorite Wesley 😀 He moves from charm to charm and great character development, he's one of my absolute favorite character's one who manages to move movingly and convincingly from his entertaining beginnings to his more tragic/experienced self at the end of the show, while staying true to his character... great writing really!

I love them all, from the GREATEST watcher Sunnydale ever had,to the rouge demon hunter,to the man with a master plan to free Pylea,to the leader of Angel Investigations,to dark Wesley,to the top academic at W&H,WESLEY RULES!

I love all the Wesley incarnations and i cant choose a favorite, they're all so damn great. Having said that I'm a bit puzzled as to why Wesley in Angel season 3 got so few votes. He matures so much in that season, you see how great a leader he is,how intelligent he is,his dark side begins to surface like never before, the prophecy arc begins which leads to bad ass Wesley, his feelings for Fred begin there as does his riff with Charles Gunn, and he begins having sex with Lilah. It is an amazing journey,a transitional phase from silly to dark, from sweet to bad ass Wesley. I'm not saying its for definitely my number 1 favorite, although it might be actually,I'm just saying i don't get why so few votes for that particular Wesley season. For those who voted for all Wesley's,as i just did,can you tell me what you thought of Wesley in season 3 of Angel,i appreciate your thoughts, thanks 🙂

Deftly pointed out, Mr. Pryce!
I right away clicked S5 of Angel only to think about it a bit longer and realize I do ::love:: all the Wesleys - I think his journey is one of the most realistic portrayals on Angel (though I do include his Buffy time in his journey, it was a bit more OTT at that time). Crap this board is seriously going to make me start re-watching Angel by the end of the week!

Thanks, and i know what you mean,im already craving an Angel marathon myself 😛

I like Wesley S4 where he actually is a rogue demon hunter type, with his own gang and everything.
His relationship with Lilah is twisted and wonderful, but also it kind of matters to the both of them, with him trying to rescue her from W&H clutches both physically and in 'Home'.

Plus, Wesley and Faith...I really wish these two had got more screen time together, I think they got each other's darkness a lot in that three episode arc, able to put theie respective pasts behind them, even if they had changed them.
Rogue slayer and Rogue Watcher, what a team. 🙂

I also have a real thing for S5 Wesley, sweet with Fred and mentally unstable with Illyria, and then that death scene. 🙁

I have to admit I have a love for gun toting grade A bonkers Wes of AtS season 5.

Literally "Mad, bad and dangerous to know". 😀

Damn, if I'd seen the "all the Wesleys" choice, I would have picked that. Because I adore him from beginning to end. I think he's the only 5 season + Buffyverse character that I adored from beginning to end- and he changed the most! (Maybe Xander- but I got bored with him at times. I was never bored with Wes.) Favorite Buffyverse guy!

Anyway, I picked S4 Wesley. There's a lot of talk about his darkness in that season- and he does commit several serious crimes. However more consistently, his strength and goodness really stand out in the bleakest circumstances. We learn that Wesley would search for months and open his vein for a vampire who tried to murder him and expelled him from the only family that he ever had. He'd search for months for a former best friend who refused to see him after his throat was slashed and believed that Angel's feelings were the only ones that matter. He'd dive into a rain of fire to bring another former best friend to safety even though said guy also refused to contact him, condoned the other one's attempted murder, only approached him when he needed a favor, had been willing to let Angel and Cordelia suffer in whatever danger they were in over the summer before he called Wesley for help over Fred's protests, and had been a total ass from day 1 because they're romantic rivals. With enough PTSD and physical injuries on a non-powered body to justify a retirement in the pastures, he set up his own evil-fighting agency- spurning Lilah's bribes to turn to W&H.

And in the middle of leading the team through several apocalypses, he finds a way to let go of quite a bit of his bitterness and join his old team as a subordinate and taking that demotion from his prior leadership status if it means getting his friends back.

If that's not enough, rugged is the best look on him so he can suffer through multiple apocalypse and endless pain and look sexier than ever before. Not a talent that most guys have- but Wesley is the best.
