Yes, Dorky Wes could always get a bit annoying. I mean he always tried his best, but bless, it just NEVER WORKED OUT for him then. Haha.
I remember in season 1 Angel I constantly kept thinking 'But he's just not as cool as Giles....'.
Wes did eventually cool up though.
 
Wesley wasn't supposed to be as cool as Giles. really, he only time we saw them together on screen was in s3 of Buffy, and there he was supposed to be an idiot.
The only episode I really liked dorky Wesley was in 'Guise Wii Be Guise', that was just too funny
 
I really disliked Wesley while he was on Buffy. Yes he had some funny lines and there was a great dynamic with Giles being able to be more fun and edgy in comparison. But he just seemed so one dimensional and boring. When he popped up in Angel I pretty much had the same reaction till the last scene in his 1st episode (don’t remember the name) I kind of liked him allot more. He become multi layered and work well in the Cordy/ Angel chemistry. He had such an amazing journey on angel I cant really pick my favorite so I selected all the Wesley’s as they were interesting and well portrayed.
 
Definitely season 4 Wesley... the whole tortured soul, shagging Lilah, locking Justine in the cupboard is amazing!
 
Definitely the dorky Wesley. The dancing scene with him and Angel = PRICELESS!
But I'm just starting S5, so I may change my mind. 🙂
 
Yes, I'm one of the ones who loved him in S1 of Angel. I couldn't help it. I watched Angel first so I had no thoughts either way the first time. Then after I saw Buffy and saw him again on Angel, I was just tickled. Watching him dance HAS to be a highlight!
 
All the Wesleys!!!!! Complex, dorky, valiant. I even liked him in Buffy. It couldn't have been easy for him but apart from when he was screaming like a girl and various bumbling moments, he did actually did help. Even though everyone hated him he still helped in the end and he did offer to help Angel during the Ascension.

Also my favourite was standing up to Buffy in Choices. His argument actually made sense.

Wesley developed greatly but also demonstrated a tortured insecure persona. Everything from withstanding Faith's torture and going against the council to protect the creatures he's been taught to dispise, to shooting a guy in the leg and torturing a junkie.

One of Wes' traits has been his big picture thinking. Does the Wes' goals always justify his means of getting there? Not sure but at least he was willing to sacrifice himself to prevent more deaths (See Release).

What more can I say? Possibly a lot but I'll leave it there.
 
My vote goes to all the Wesleys, as a proud member of the now defunct Wesley Lovers United, you have to love all the facets of his complicated character - because the dark scary Wes leads to the strong and steadfast Wes of the later years. And the whimsical Wes is just humorous as anything, and who doesn't love a guy that wears leather pants?!
 
I picked angel season 2 Wes. I just loved Wes when he was funny and friendly and geeky, he was so much more interesting. S3-5 Wes was all the time too serious, it became the same old boring story with him. And trying to make him a cool badass just didn't fly with me, it would be like trying to make Andrew cool and badass.
 
I picked Angel Season 2 but I don't really hate him in any of them. My least favourite was when he was in Buffy but I still thought he had some funny lines... and other people had funny lines about him! 😀
 
I voted for all of Wesley's. He went from goofiness light Wesley to strong dark Wesley to broken heart Wesley. I think he had the best transition there was.

From being totally idiot/annoying man on Buffy then falling in love with a woman on Angel. Then losing the woman of his dreams to somebody else. He gets kicked off the team and becoming a loner dark Wesley and sleeps with the enemy. Close to the end, he finally hooks up with the girl of his dreams and then watches and feels her die and he dies with her to becoming a broken heart Wesley.
 
I never really liked Wesley's character until season 4 of Angel. I guess this is the first season that I think he could really take care of himself in a fight and it was good to see.
 
I voted Season 2. I hate Dark Wesley in s4-s5. And S3 Wesley has funny hair. I like Wesley season 2 the most because he's not too useless or too broody. 🙂
 
I think Wesley is easily one of the best characters in the entire Buffyverse. He changes a lot during the shows but it's all believable. It doesn't just suddenly happen overnight and you can totally relate to him.

I don't know if that has anything to do with the poll but oh well. 😛 I voted for all the Wesleys!
 
Wesley is one of my favorite characters in the whole 'verse. He goes through so much and changes so drastically. Yet, despite all he goes through, he manages to find again who he was in the end. I voted for Angel S1 because I loved his idealistic campy goofiness back then, before he go all bitter and disillusioned. I was really upset with what they decided to do with Wes in the end. I'll leave it at that. I felt he deserved better considering he was a main character from the beginning.
 
I have only really seen Wesley in Buffy and Angel s5. I saw bits of Spin the Bottle and some scenes from the first season. But I think I can already say that I like s5 Wesley the most, because he's like at the end of his process of becoming him. He's not too broody, occasionally quirky and just generally all right. Tis almost a shame he died.
 
I liked him in Angel Season 4 best. He was wicked bad-assed, raspy voice, cool gadgets, sexin the enemy, cool scar etc etc. But you could also see how hurt the character was.
