Fawn - Faith x Dawn

So this is a pairing that I'm rather new to. It's interesting to think about but one particular aspect that has intrigued me for the longest time is Dawn's whole "retconned existence." We never actually see how she interacted with Faith or Angel when they first met her. In Angel Season 4 and Buffy Season 7, both Angelus and Faith just know Dawn and we don't really have any idea of their interaction when they were originally in Sunnydale.

So, any Fawn fans here have a fanfic that deals with Faith and Dawn during the time of Season 3? I think it be really cool to read.

And well, that's just my initial question. Feel free to talk about your general views of the ship. ^^

i've never given fawn much thought! but it would be interesting to know how dawn would have interacted with faith and angel when they first met her.
personally, i don't think fawn would work, but i am a huuuuge fuffy shipper. there is some amazing fanfic for that pairing.

As nice as the name sounds, fawn would be a bit of a wrong ship (at least for me). I think it would have been interesting to see their interaction in previous seasons but not anything romantic. Buffy and Faith makes a bit more sense tbh, I could kind of understand Faith acting in a big sister capacity for Dawn though.

I have read (and written) some fanfics that took place after Season 7 in which Dawn was a college student, and she and Faith ended up getting together. It doesn't bother me... In fact, I think it could be pretty hot. I can see why some people would be bothered by it, but I'm not.

A lot of the fanfiction that I have read has Dawn trying to act like Faith, following Faith around, dressing like her and what not. Though, I have not read any romantic fanfiction between Faith and Dawn so I would not know if authors chose to depict that time in their lives differently.

Just to add one more factor to the wrongness of fawn, wouldn't Dawn have been about 13 or 14 in Season 3? Not even Faith in her bad girl phase would have sunk THAT low.

I'm a bit overly amused by the name Fawn for this pairing.

I think fawn and I'm thinking innocence and sacrifice, which I guess could be Dawn . . . now that I think of it. . .

But it's still weird for my brain to include Faith in that name.

I think it could be really interesting if done well though. Most pairings in this fandom can really surprise you by how well they can work out in a capable authors mind.
