Feelings of being backed into a corner

Hero thought that something needed to be said, so he posted about it. I don't think he expected this to happen. And if he did, then he probably just wanted to settle this. I completely agree with him. If someone hadn't said something about the disrespect on this site, I was going to.
Something needs to be done here. If you have a problem with someone, you should go to a mod or go to the person and try to talk things through with them. But like Hero said, if there's just a lot of peopledoing this, then something like this thread should have been posted to bring it to everyone's attention.
 
Shenikah brought up a point how I just attacked him in a thread. That's proving my point right there. I attacked him from outta the blue and he got upset. That's what all the rude people do to everyone else. My point was to use him as an example and show him that being rude to people (reguardless of which thread) is wrong and he wouldn't like being treated any less than human either.

Thanks for trying to stick up for me, guys. But I said what I did and I meant it. There's no turning back now.
 
Jill, I luv ya, you're one of my favorite new members, but I think you are wrong. We've run this board and others on this principle for years and it has always worked. I hate other message boards because people just attack others and are allowed to.


As for this issue. The mods have noticed the same thing and we have been discussing what to do about it. When we notice people making inappropriate comments we discuss it with them usually via pm and hopefully work it out. Though unfortuneately lately all we have been getting for the most part is a bunch of "I hate you! Ban me and see if I care!" responses.

The rule on this is going to stand, but we are working on the best way to get it working again. If anyone has any constructive suggestions, feel free to pm me about it 🙂

PS PLEASE try not to get back at people in threads because of something they said to you. Come to a mod, and we will work with you on it, especially as we may have already spoken to the person and resolved the issue. Generally retaliation only makes it worse.

Your attempts at mediating between people lacks any sort of credibility whatsoever as you are clearly inable to form a coherent thought process.

To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less what you say about me, and the fact that you think different really does show your ignorance. I didn't attack anyone out of the blue. You have no concept of common sense or logic, and if you were trying to 'use' me to prove something, you have failed miserably.

You attacked me in the matrix thread for no reason... well, there were reasons, but they were completely illogical and nonsensical, partly because you had failed to read the thread.

The main person being rude around here is you (everyone, please go take a look at his comments to Cordy in the Matrix thread to find out how much of a hypocrite this guy is), so I really don't know what point you are trying to prove.

People backing you up? Heh...

Like I said, the irony is delicious, and this is a statement you have yet to come to grips with.

I think that in this case, being the objective ruler should be abandoned, because this guy clearly has issues that he needs to deal with.

Aw... I'm touched, in a thoroughly non slashfiction way, just so we're all clear. The forum I referred to is about SF, and I actually went to the lengths of Nancy Drewing up the guys home phone number. His message minder was full...

Well, to rip off ideas from other forums... one has a Sin Bin, where offensive posters are put for a week at a time and locked out of all other forums. It's a cracking idea, but it's abused by some draconian mods (I've spent about 2 months there...) Another has an area specifically to sort personal disputes, letting them be settled in a relatively public place, but separate from the On Topic discussion...
 
ok so what you're pretty much saying shenikah is that you're not rude, disrespectful, or anything and Hero is? And that he failed?

Ok look: i'm not trying to pick fights or anything, but I really do think that you have this backwards. This didn't turn around on him. He did what he had to do. And he got what he wanted. Take a look around, this is what he wanted, something to be done about all this crap. And something is being done now. This didn't turn around on him.

I'm backing down because the voice of authority (Buffy Summers) is here, and even though I know I'll probably be punished, you're not gunna get off scot free yourself. At least I'm backing off. You'll sit here until the world ends making little remarks. You have been a bully. The mods and other members have backed me up on this. The people here know I'm not a bully. Everyone has read and replied (except for the newbies) to my personal friends where I'm trying to help people. Yes, everyone, go take a look at my posts. Those were well provoked threads. A mod has told me Shenikah has been in their talks because of the disrespect he's shown. It's not just me. And about my logic and intellegence, I'm in the top 97% of my grade. I'm a lot smarter than you think.

Anyone other than the main parties involved and mod's who are replying to this thread are really seeming like "eggers" and "troublemakers".

I must once again *plead* with everyone to let it go and let the mod's handle this in their own manner. I don't think we're really helping matters by doing otherwise. :help2:

I like your suggestions Jill. Hehe you called the mod? I think we just emailed him until the emails were returned saying "this persons box is full" then we ended up enjoying our non-mod status. 🙂
 
Once again I completely agree with you Hero. And I truely wish things were different. I wish we didn't feel the need to argue this topic. But What happened to the place I knew when I first signed up?

Phoned him, wrote him letters, (Got his address from a reverse phone book) found all his posts in forums all over the internet, found his brother's email and mailed it, ICQ'd him, contacted his Alumni association (He was part of the Shad Valley project thingy) and I'm currently sorting out an application for a Death Certificate...

I never said anything wrong about the news except for that they haven't read my threads yet because they're new here and they were made before they arrived. Never would I insult someone without good reason. Now you're just making stuff up. I'd gladly apologize to Cordy_Chase. I accidently took my anger out on her for no reason and I'm sorry for that. You on the other hand, deserve nothing.

I don't wanna keep fighting. I'll defend myself now without getting verbally abusive. I've calmed down now and I have no interest in continuing this fight. But, if you keep pestering me I will keep going. I'm a sophomore and I don't need to explain myself to you. I took those tests that are required for every school in the USA and I got back above average in every catagory. So, you can't say I'm not intellegent because you don't even know me. I'm attacking you with what I know, that you're rude, because I know that's something I can win with.

Actually a board I moderated a while back thought the same about me until I came back for two whole days..changed the scheme of the place and then left again. Boards are way loads of trouble to moderate....I doubt I'll ever do it again. Feels too Orwellian at times.
