Final Fantasy

I have enjoyed the games since I was young; having started playing FF1 back when it first came out. I have played and beaten EVERY Final Fantasy up to FFX2 (only played) and FFXI-Online (never played). My personal Favorites include FF 4 (2 in America), FF6 (3 in America), Secret of Mana (1& 2), FF Tactics, and FFX. Also a big fan of the gameboy FF Adventures (which spawned the Secret of Mana series) and the FF Legend Games. I have even played the sub-par FF Mystic Quest (an RPG for beginners with one of the hardest main bosses I have fought). At one time I lived, breathed, and slept Final Fantasy ::morn:: , now it is an old amusement.
I am, however, curious as to who all on the BB has played and enjoys the series. I was also wondering which were your favorites, and why. What do you remember most? What game's story do you like? Did you want to cry when Aeris was murdered by Sepheroth? Were you drawn to the dark novel-like story of FF Tactics? Was it FF8's sweeping war/love story? Or were you reigned in to the story of the Dark Knight turned Palladin, Cecil, of FF4/2? And who can tell me what character Cid has been in each incarnation since he began to show up in EVERY game? :: tu ::

LOL....I don't have every Cid incarnation...I wish I knew. My hubby would.

I LOVE the Final Fantasy Series. FF4 made me cry when the twins were turned to stone! Do you remember that? I think Sephiroth was THE coolest bad guy! FF8 had the best characters and plotline to me. FF9 was extremely childish and I didn't like it
🙁 FF10 and FF-X2 were both awesome and new. I loved those too....actually, I reviewed FFX2 on my site....

I absolutely loved FF 6/3. I liked the idea that 1/2 way through the game, the bad guys win, destroy the world and you then must take a side character out as the new main character and find everyone again. The game had 14 characters and they were all cool. The Locke/Celes love story was good (since it didn't involve the original main character, Terra). Gau (the wild boy), the murder of Doma Castle (no, the whole castle) and Cyan following his murdered family into the realm of dreams. The fact that they destroyed the world was quite innovative as well. But I am rambling, so....

I love Final Fantasy! Love it!!! 😀 I've played FFVII, IX, X and X-2 and loved them all... well... FFIX wasn't as good! Still need to play 10.

I know that Cid is in VII as a pilot/space engineer (or something)... don't know what he was in FFIX... but he's Rikku's dad in FFX and FFX-2 an Al Bhed who flies the airship in X. He's also in Kingdom Hearts as a Gummi engineer.

I have to say that VII was my favourite for a long time cos Cloud and Aeris were so made for each other... (Poor Aeris ::crying:: )! But now I've finished X and I'm playing X-2 I just love the storyline... and Tidus is cute! 😀

I do really like Auron. That and the Sinn fight was fun.

Yep... Auron is cool cos he's the strongest! And the fights were loads of fun... Yunalesca, Seymour, and Sin... brilliant! 😀

I also thought Auron had the most interesting personality there. Very dark. I felt like the final battle was a little easy. But maybe that's just me 😀.

Auron was the only decent character, actually the only good thing in X.

I am a huge fan of the series. FF6 (3) is my favorite so far. I haven't gotten really close to any of the characters/story's emotionally except for this one. All the characters were very intricately placed into the setting so as to not become insignificant. They all had a strong part of the games plot.

I never finished FF9 as it was my least favorite. I lost interest quick. FFX2 was a good break from reality, it seemed. It wasn't a serious "the world is going to end" plot...or it wasn't AS serious. I am currently playing FFXI and enjoying it for the most part. If anyone happens to be playing FFXI, I would love to join up sometime.

I'm not a big game player- but my bro has FF1, 2 and 4-9 (we only have a ps1) My fave is 7- I've never completed it, but I've watched my bro do it and i LOVE the game! I've played most of the other games, but i don't like the storyline as much. And if Sephiroth was real, I'd fancy the pants off of him!

Can anyone tell me whether the race of man is actually wiped out or not at the end of FF7? I think it's an opinion thing, cos we can never know for sure, but i want to see what other people think.

i haven't played the games myself! but my boyf and 3 of his 4 brothers love it! atleast the two oldest of the 3 brothers... have gone through much time just sitting and watching them play.... but i liked the movie... so greatly made!! and like the series final fantasy unlimited....

I love the FF series too. I have played and own all of them except for XI (stupid pay to play a game, why I oughta...). FF4 (2), FF6 (3), FFVII and FFIX are my favs. If you want the incarnations of Cid I could give them, but I would have to replay one or two games first (ie. FFV). FF rocks tho so maybe I'll replay it anyway...lol.
