Finally decided to read the comics...

But, I'm a little confused. I saw this collection of the first five comics, and it looked more conveniant than buying seperatley, but it was grouped under graphic novels, and the seperate issues are under comics. Is there any differences between the two?

No they're the same thing. Buying them collected IS easier, but you'll be a little bit behind. While new issues are put out every month, generally speaking the collection is published about half a year after the last of issues it collects.
