Firefly and Resident Evil

So I was watching Resident Evil: Apocolypse last night right after I had watched the hospital episode of Firefly and i noticed some serious similiarities... First of all both River and Alice both had their brains operated on to make them many times more powerful.. Secondly they both make a guy who is watching them on a security camera bleed from the eyes and nose just by looking into the camera 🙂

i thought alot of Btvs & Angel scenes reminded me alot of resident evil, its great.

Yeah, the "Resident Evil" series are good action/horror movies. and the similarities between it and "Serenity" also include the Reavers, though the whole "insane flesh eating/mutant/zombie hoard" thing is hardly unique to those movies. I personally think that that gimmick has been just about used to death, no pun intended.

but Serenity and Resident Evil do give better explanations for there hoard of crazies

Personally i prefer the 28 days later type crazies.

28 days later zombies are MENTO. I watched it again recently, creeps me right out, even the music is scary. 28 weeks later isn't as good, I'd rather play some virtual golf than watch it again.

I was really hoping that the recent "I Am Legend" wouldn't fall into the same category, but, of course, I was wrong. For those not aware of the book, "I Am Legend" was about a world overrun with vampires, and Neville was the last human. Just another mutant/cannibal/zombie who can infect you with a single bite.

I kind of seen were your coming from but then again theres obviously also a lot of differences Both are however great.

I still think that the Resident Evil games are better than the films no matter how unrealistic and poor static camera angles they had. Maybe its because I used to play them at 10 and was scared by the games.

I dont really rate resident evil games because of the camera until resident evil 4 which I completed 4-5 times and I love it cant wait for 5.
