Spoiler! Firefly cast member joins Agents of SHIELD!

Joss is definitely an ensemble director. He has "his" group of actors and writers that he draws from whenever possible. John Ford did the same thing, and he often said that the easiest way to direct people whose characters were supposed to be friends was to pick actors who actually WERE friends for the parts. Evidently it worked for him, as he is credited with directing many of the all time greatest movies to ever come out of Hollywood. I don't know if Joss is consciously following in Ford's steps, or if he just discovered the same thing for himself, but the formula has served him well.
 
Awesome news! Virtually the entire Firefly cast is so talented, it's always nice to see them crop up again. I liked Book a lot, and happy he's joining S.H.I.E.L.D. I'm getting more and more pumped for this show every day!
 
Book was my least favorite character on Firefly, but even that still ranks pretty high.

Although he will always be the giant floating head from Teen Angel to me!
