It's currently available for $12.99 at Best Buy.com

not sure if the sale is also good at their stores though.

Usually, whatever is on the BestBuy.com Weekly Ad... the sale price listed online is available in the store as well. Most of the time, if something is on sale on BestBuy.com--but not listed on the Weekly Ad--it will be on sale in stores. Sometimes though, under the online sale price, it'll sale "Sale Online Only" (or something like that).

I did see Firefly on sale for this price last week when I went into Target. Wait around and you're bound to find it at a good price.

Wal Mart has the Blu Ray set (or at least it did 2 weeks ago) for $40. I would have liked to pick it up for a little less, but that's better than you'll find elsewhere. Sold my DVD copy on Amazon for $15 so it came out alright.

Huh? what? Have the Firefly DVD's only just become available in NYC?
I've worn out my first DVD set, I bought my current DVD set 6 months ago or more.
Mind you the TV stations over here are a bit slow, season 8 of Charmed was released on DVD before it was on TV here. I dare say the same will be for Dollhouse season 1.

YEAH it's scary btw!
i was in Hmv and they were selling Buffy boxsets for 20 pounds each, i was like :|
and in a second hand shop they were selling some of the Buffy boxsets ( the ones that i payed 80 pounds for) ( the bible book ones) for a tenner!
i was like wtf!

( sorry for keep saying 'pounds' my pound key is broken' HAHA.

Firefly DVD Set

Hope you can watch it soon. And welcome to the boards. Enjoy your stay.
I love how the box set is always on sale but i never really see Serenity drop below $20. And since a lot of reg dvds can be bought well below that price (now with blu-rays coming out the reg dvds are getting much cheaper), i haven't had the urge to pick it up yet.

Also, buffy box sets in stores (are we talking the full one)? I remember when it came out my mom got me one, but seriously about 12 months after the release, i never saw a box set again. They are a rarity, at least in NYC. Angel was around on shelves a lot longer, and even now you can't find it anymore. Just the seperate seasons. I feel lucky to have them.
