Firefly Renewal?

HEre's the relevent piece of the article:

More Firefly Coming? Speaking of Whedon’s previous series with FOX, blogger Nick C claims to have some inside information that the network could consider bringing that franchise back. Supposedly the renewal of Dollhouse has jogged their memories of the show and how Firefly well did with its DVD release and he suggests that they could look at testing whether interest in the show, cancelled in 2002, still lingers. Most of the principal actors currently have other commitments which would keep them from coming back to a weekly series, but FOX could try a couple of made for TV/DVD movies to stir up interest. Nick C does not specify where his information came from, so consider this at the rumor stage only at this point.

I'm not going to get my hopes up, because I doubt it'll happen (And what's Firefly without Wash? 🙁) but if it did that would be amazing. I always thought Firefly deserved longer, it was an amazing show.

Anya.... Firefly could fill in some blanks between the tv show and Serenity, of course. 😉 Still got pleeenty to find out. 😀

Sigh. I want this to happen so, so much. I don't care about Dollhouse. It can rot in a very hot place if it means I get Firefly back, in ANY shape (well, not comic, that doesn't count... I mean live-action). 😉 And according to a certain Captain Tightpants, if Fox decided to renew it, nine people would instantly be on board, somehow or another. I know, I know, veeeery loose rumour and all, but still... a girl's gotta dream...

Don't even mention Firefly and comics together! Just the thought makes me cry!
I'd love it if it came back. I haven't seen all the series yet (I think I'm on ep 13) but I love it so far 🙂

I want more just so I can understand who Book really is... did they explain that at all in the comics about him? (I'd still rather see it played out on t.v. either way though)

Love the show, but I really just can't see anything coming from this. Adam Baldwin is starring in Chuck which is coming back next season, Nathan Fillion is doing Castle, which was also renewed. Morena Barrarin is doing that new V series. And those are just the actors that I'm already aware of doing other things. I know the article mentions that the cast is busy and it would probably just be TV movies but Chuck, Castle, and V are all on rival networks. It seems like this is very unlikely to happen.

At the end of the day, unless Adam Baldwin is planning on being my husband, he can star in two shows. I will just keep him captive like they do to Ben Stillers character in Tropic Thunder and make him act tough for me forever! Okay I'm turning into a crazy fan girl, I will stop now.

You are turning into a crazy fan girl!
That really would be something, but as always we can't get our hopes up, I'm already thinking about the gang and all the changes, I mean, what's the worst that can happen??
