Serenity arrives on a planet where Jayne's considered to be a Robin Hood-like hero, but there's a price on his head and his former partner in crime is hunting him down for revenge.

The crew bringing Simon into the fold is pretty funny lol, and his reaction to the Jayne situation is priceless. But Jayne…omg Jayne. I love this episode.

And River fixing the Bible lol

I like that we see that Jayne has a heart.

Wash: “We gotta go to the crappy town where I’m a hero.”

What does Joss have about Ohio: Canton, Cleveland…

This is Jayne's first wakeup call. He'll need more, but he's starting to realize that his actions can affect others who don't really deserve it.

The dusty film filter is great.

Simon earning his keep. Book and River getting some quality bonding time. I love the garden that Inara meets her clients father in.

River fixing the bible hehe, so many trying to do that. You dont fix faith. Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the assured expectation of what is hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities that are not seen.

Mothers milk, liquid bread 😀 my late teens were fueled in a similar way. This song is going to be stuck in my head all night.

"I tore these out of a symbol and they turned into paper" Jayne is the symbol of hope, until the reality is revealed.

Simons drunkeness. The hamster was loved, cherished. The town is status. Kaylee isn't going to turn down a drunk root.

"His brains are in terrible danger" hahahhahaha.

Aw poor Kaylee. Silly Simon.

More symbol talk. What is a man lol.
Power cut out here for a few hours so this is disjointed now.

Jaynes confession to the mudders, and they still choose to hope in the symbol. Mal nails it "Its about what they need" Matt 5:3 happy are those conscious of their spiritual need... This ep is deeper than I first gave it credit for! Quite brilliant in its balance of humour and hope.
