Anybody check this out last night?
I thought it was great. The whole Space/Western idea was genius, pure genius.
So, please, discuss this next great hit:

I couldn't watch the first episode because I had to work 🙁 and didn't have any videotapes, but hopefully i'll be able to see it! I really want to.

I really liked it too. I mean I had to watch it because Joss created it but I kept watching because it was so cool. I was glad it wasn't all high tech spacey. The western thing was cool. And the companion girls clothes were so pretty, I'm being slightly obsessive agian. But it was Joss' traditional mix of humor in the right places and creepy (two by two, hands of blue). I thought it was really really good.

Space western?? What do you think that Star Trek is?

Did you watch it, I mean there was an actual train robbery and everything. Star Trek was like high-tech new western all set in space. In Firefly there was a bar brawl and a sherrif of the town and it's like oh they happen go planet hopping too.

Srry..Kinda have a grudge against Firefly ever since they cancelled Dark Angel.. (Dont get me wrong, I still admire Joss for Buffy of course!)

What does Firefly have to do with the cancellation of Dark Angel?

It took DA's slot on Fox. When Joss came to see them for the show, they decided to ditch DA.

Are you sure that it was wholly Joss Whedon's fault that Dark Angel was cancelled? Maybe the network was considering it (I heard it hadn't been doing that well) and when he came to them with his pitch for Firefly they made their final decision because Joss' shows are usually popular (Both Buffy and Angel are huge successes).

It wasn't Joss' fault, but I was very upset as well when DA was cancelled. It was my 2nd favorite show after Buffy. I had thought about not watching Firefly because of it, but when it comes to Joss, I didn't want to miss out. I don't blame Firefly or Joss, I blame those idiots over at FOX who thought DA wasn't doing good enough.😡

But anyway, *wipes away a tear🙄* I thought Firefly was really good. Not enough humor, though. I really also wanted to see the original pilot where it told how everybody met and stuff like that. So that said...so far, so good.:: tu ::

Im not saying it was Joss's fault. Fox just thought that DA's ratings were not good enough so they decided to go with something new.

Mad at Fox cause they made it that DA couldnt be picked up by another network.
