I've been using Opera as default browser for a couple of years now, and I think it works the best for me, mostly because it's a suite rather than a mere browser. Great for sending emails, reading feeds, taking quick notes and much more...
I installed firefox 4 on my dad's old notebook, but it kept crashing, so I had to downgrade to the previous version😡
I downloaded 4 for my laptop yesterday (running Windows Vista gag gag) and it worked fine; I didn't hate it. Downloaded it for my netbook this morning (running Windows 7) and it's all frakked up. Nothing looks like it should, it's not working quite right, and if I don't have the menu bar open (I LIKE not having a menu bar), the whole thing just goes wonky. I tried rolling it back and restarting the computer but it didn't work.
*stomps off to continue watching old Who episodes*
I still have the previous one on my Thinkpad, which is the computer that I use almost all of the time, but Firefox 4 automatically downloaded onto my new Netbook, and I'm not really happy about it (I have to get used to Windows 7 AND Firefox all at one time)
After using it for a couple weeks I've decided I don't hate it, but I definitely like the old version better. It feels weird having the home button and bookmarks button on the right side of the screen.
