First ANGEL TV Movie May Hit in September

I don't really know about TV movies. If they plan on having a whole series of TV movies, why not just keep the show for another season. Doesn't that seem more logical? Plus, with Angel ending, it'd be much too soon to have a TV movie so soon afterward. It they are to make a movie, they should just shoot for the big screen rather than TV. This would be a better and smarter jump from the end of Angel's series

It would be wrong of Sky One not to air the movie because they have aired the whole of angel and Buffy for years. It would cause fans to go against sky one

Yes, Yes, Yes!!! Wow, looks like I'm, reinacting the Meg Ryan scene in "When Harry Met Sally". Anywayz... back on subject.

That's exactly what I've been saying! A theatrical film is the right way to go. It doesn't need to be rushed, I'm willing to wait 3 years for this. I mean, all of the actors can't age that much during that time period. A big Buffy/Angel movie would be the perfect way to end the series, maybe even leave open the possibility for sequels.

I hope, if it does go ahead, there's DVD's of these TV Movies for Angel.
Ive been collecting Angel and Buffy on DVD since they came out, if the DVD's dont come out with the TV Movies, Im gonna get angry! lol

I always thought a two-part Buffy and Angel theatrical movie would be great as they would have a big buget and be more epicy.

But as Lee said I want these on DVDs, although they'll probably release them all with about one special feature for £17 at a time, rather then a set.

The WB said to us there would be no S6 but this is basically S6 for us, it is 12 episodes, I see that as a a season.

You're right! I totally don't get the point of doing one and not the other! They could've just ended Season 6 early in the year!

To have a movie ready in Sept., they'd have to be filiming in July already. And JM is shaving his head on Tuesday. And the report at buffy.nu stressed that this is just a rumour. I believe they will do one or two movies but this would require a major commitment from the cast - or they would have to film them all at once. And that would mean starting in July. Plus, there is no confirmaiton that Tru Calling has been cancelled.

So, be prepared that this is all crap and someone's wishful thinking. Just like Wonderfalls being picked up by the WB.

Thank you Blackarachnia for crushing our hopes and dreams...no im just kidding. Your right...the chances of it coming out in September are slim to none, but I'm hoping for at least one or two TV movies to come out sometime, probably just not in September...

You always make me laugh. I was very excited when i read the report but then logic took over. I have been holding on to hope for season 6 but then JM and Kristen from E!Online said that there is no hope and the only hope we have is for a movie or two. I hopw for two or three but six is pretty extreme and I think we may see one in November for sweeps. *hugs for understanding*

The logical thing to do is air 6 tv movies over the next 2 years, in each Sweep(ala Super Millionaire on ABC). Over course, the ratings would have to be great in order to have 6 of them.

Is this good or bad? I guess its good, but will they air it here? like Lee said some TV movies havent comne to other countries, bu would this be different cause its based on a show? Or would those be put on DVD's? I think im asking to many questions...
If they do air it here cause they usually have Angel at 10.30 and Dark Angel repeats at 11.30 so they'd probely just miss out on DA and put it all in one.

I don't believe it.

One, James just shaved his head last week, so he'll look funny.

Two, they will have to start filming ASAP

Three, why would the WB be so interested in picking up and Angel 'mini-movie series" (which is like another season almost) when they were the ones who were origninally kicking it to the curb.

Plus, if you read spoilers, doesn't seem likely and not logical.

I feel the need to be pessimistic on this one.

Angel movies sound like a must for sure, but with Angel just ending then I think maybe before Angel movies there should be a Buffy movie. Just because Buffy's been over for some time and it doesn't seem fair that Angel, which would only have been over for not even a year gets a movie first. But that's a Joss call. I think that if the movie is a go, then it'll take longer then to September just because most movies take a while to shoot, dont they?

But Joss has confirmed and so has Kristen at E!Online that they are still negotiating with the WB. It does seem very very likely that there will be one or two but not in September and probably not 6.

TheWB is the one who said that they would like to do tv movies next year, I think since BUffy is better known they would probably save Buffy:The Movie for theatres to offically tie up everything.

Exactly. And with SMG turning down Scooby Doo 3, maybe there is a chance. She may have realized that she will never again find someone to write for her the way that Joss did or a character as complex and layered to play as Buffy.

Word is that they are in the works to finally make another X-Files movie so never say never....

The difference between the Buffy and Angel movies is that:

1. Buffy was last on UPN, not WB. So WB would not want a Buffy movie. They would do Angel.

2. Buffy ended after 7 seasons, actually wanting to end at that season. Angel was cut short, when they had plans to continue on.

Angel deserves tv movies more than Buffy. And about James' hair...it grows back. And maybe they can work it into the movies...it's possible.

Yup, hair grows back, but it might be a bit more sensible for James to let his hair regrow in its natural colour, and just get a nice old fashioned peroxided wig!

I hope the Angel Movie happens, even if it is just a one off to tie up any loose ends and answer any questions. Damn it, we as fans need a sense of closure!

oh please TheWB would totally jump at a chance to have a Buffy tv movie on their network, just because it was last on UPN doesnt mean that TheWB wouldnt want a Buffy movie. Espically since Buffy was on their network 5 years, and was like their most popular show. Imagine if SMG appeared on Angel this seaosn, TheWB would be promoting it like crazy. TheWB loves Buffy.
