First ANGEL TV Movie May Hit in September

Oh my goodness! Now wouldn't that just be super fantastic. I'll admit that September is quite sudden, but all the better. I've also heard that David Boreanaz has been working on new movies and that one is coming out in a few months and one next years. Perhaps...an Angel movie.

I could have sworn that Tru Calling got a second season. I just could have sworn. But that's okay. The show was pretty good, but no Buffy and Angel. Wouldn't that be fantastic if she was Faith again.

What about James Marsters hair, as well? Ain't he bald as the day is bright, or however you say that.

According to their web site, Fox hasn't announced their fall lineup yet and they intro'd Tru Calling's finale as season and not series so that is just a rumour.

The WB loved it so much they shoved it over to UPN??
And I dont recall the fans being so responsive to Buffy as they did to angel..
 
TheWB didnt want to pay anymore money for the show, so they made a final price but thats not what Joss wanted, so UPN came up with a bigger price and won so they got Buffy. TheWB was going to put out a big ad for The Gift in Variety or something like that, but they got in a fight with Joss and decided not to. And if TheWB didnt want Buffy anymore then why would they want a Buffy castmember on the show of Angel after Buffy ended?

And what do you mean by responsive? to the finales? if so All of us knew that we would still have Angel so the Buffyverse wasnt over yet, if Angel ended first it would be big for Buffy.

You're joking right? You just explained it yourself. The WB got in a fight with Joss about 'Buffy'. They would have no reason to give that show any tv movies. They kicked Buffy out and UPN picked it up. And the WB can still not want 'Buffy' the show, but still want a popular castmember back. They have nothing to do with each other. They wanted Spike back on the WB with 'Angel'. It has nothing to do with not wanting Buffy.

The point is that an 'Angel' tv movie would come first since it has all the right reasons to. (Still on the WB, ending on the WB, and ending on good terms).

They're still on better terms than 'Buffy' was. True they were pulled way too early in it's lifespan, but they still gave them some graceful time to finish up.

And yet, if Joss went to the WB and said "I would like to do a Buffy tv movie for your network could I?" they would say yes, if the money wasnt to high for their poor network. And Angel is getting cancelled basically over the same thing Buffy did-Money. If Angel got picked up by UPN do you think that TheWB wouldnt want to have anything to do with Angel anymore?

1. 'Angel' is getting cancelled because of the ratings. They're not nearly as good as 'Buffy' was. Not really a money issue.

2. Apparantly you don't understand business. The networks don't just share all their programs with each other... if Angel got picked up by UPN, of course the WB would NOT do any 'Angel' movies. I'm sure UPN would have that in their contract...

Here's the thing. Joss would go to UPN first, before he went to WB to ask for a 'Buffy' tv movie. Why? Because that's where 'Buffy' was last. Why would he go back to the WB for that? He wouldn't.

Apparently tis u who hath not been paying attention sir. Angel was cancelled due to money matters. The WB insisted that the licence fee fox proposed for a sixth season was too high. Angel has the second highest ratings of any show on the WB after smallville. The ratings have been good this year and better than last year.

I can't help but feel that losing Cordelia took a lot of the babe factor away from the show. Although that's not the reason I watch it this does affect the show. The execs think "Hmm 4 guys and 1 girl. It'd make a good porno but I can't see this series surviving without more T&A". Just a random thought

Angel was actually cancelled because the new head of programming wants his shows to be the big ones and to make room for more "encore presentations." He was not the head when Angel was renewed. They all do this. Have to make their stupid mark or something. Male ego, if you ask me. You can read the press release yourself.

And UPN doesn't own Buffy - Fox and Me do. That is why they were able to show part of Chosen in Just Rewards.

When did I say someone wasn't paying attention? The whole thing is ironic actually. If you're not on the mailing list from Buffy.nu, then you won't understand my info. The reasons that the WB gave us fans for cancelling the show was due to ratings.

The WB thinks that this show was struggling for some reason, when INDEED, it was 2nd best next to Smallville. I have definitely been paying attention. That's why I'm astounded by the WB's stupidity. They never came out and gave the reason about Fox's license issue. Think about Season 4. It was on the bubble due to ratings. That's what the WB is taking as the problem. It's stupid.

That sounds about right. Even though Angel has a huge fanbase following, It's not very popular. I don't get it.

And UPN doesn't own Buffy - Fox and Me do. That is why they were able to show part of Chosen in Just Rewards.

That's not what I meant. I know UPN doesn't own 'Buffy'. But that's where 'Buffy' had last been. And when a show is under contract on a network, Fox won't pull them and shove em on a new network. It's not possible, under contract. Plus 'Buffy' didn't end on a good note with the WB. That was my main point.
