First Buffy Boards Memory?

I know I haven't been my usual active self lately, but I guess that's why I've noticed more the influx of newbies and just wanted to give them the feeling that we've all been new at some point. So share with us all, new and old, what was your first memory of Buffy Boards?

I guess mine would have to be playing Duck, Duck Goose with Elmo & Faiths5x5...

I've been here for so long I can't remember my first memory. But one of the moments i'll never forget was with myself, Buffy Summers, EDB & Angel and a certain someone else judging a banner competition 😀

My first BB memory... well that would be cheating because I've been in the cemetery not long ago & I spent like the whole day remembering things by reading, & discovering others that had happened before I came.

But without it, the first memory I had was the depression thread, which instead of making me depressed made me discover how many courageous & strong people we had around in here.

& this story too, that someone posted, about a guy & his gf on a motorbike... I think some of you must remember, it was a touching story.

I only knew message boards from hanging around technical boards when I first came here, then I discovered BTVS and ATS.

I tried a few Buffy boards, but I found them quite cliquey, with a policy of either attacking the newbie, or ignoring him.

My first memory of these boards was finding people who were actually willing to talk to me about these great TV series I'd discovered. That was enough to keep me coming around.

Must think way back.... I'm lucky if I can remember memories from last week.

I think that I stumbled on the website and my first post was about season seven, "Bring on the Night" I think. One of those episodes. I started talking about the pros and cons of the episodes with other members, and I was hooked.

My first memory would have to be getting the part of Willow and Darla in the board RPGs who knows if i didn't have them i may not have met all the great people i did 🙂

I think my first memory was...posting a re-done ending to "The Gift", making fun of Dawn in a HORRIBLE way...and then feeling awful aftyer JustAnnie gave me a talk about how it wasn't very funny.

Not exactly a good memory. But..

I'd hafta say that, my first memory of BB was definatley me and phoenixrising agreeing about almost everything we posted... It was creepy 🙂

My most favorite memory... Was crushing on my girl 🙂 and FINALLY getting the nerve to tell her that I liked her... 😛 And now, she's mine 🙂

It was the unaired pilot and IMDb that got me to the board. Then came all the vids and a few Norweigians and then after a while some the freakiness of meting Eps (even scarier than my sisters friend that is just exactly like me, in some ways). But luckily Eps was a year younger than me and the freakiness kinda disappeared.

Oh and the evil admins (perhaps i shouldn't have said that) made me lose my favorite Anya quote from my signature.

wasnt exactly long ago only a couple of weeks, but the first thing i noticed was how nice people were and that people here have really good opinions and there are a lot of good discussions. the other forum im part of is so not like that!

Well, ok, it wasn't that long ago, but I think my first BB memory (that is memorable) was the Buffy= a Bunny thread. It made me smile!

heh, yeah ddg ruled, but..my first memories hafta be the intro thread, and shy so, all the replies rocked and yknow the other ...dot abusers. 🙂 go overuse of the ellipses thingy. i know theres a word, but..eh...
second memory that i remember faster, but isn't technically first, would be the gay marriage thread. Only the 3rd time I said I liked girls, so eh..yeah, those are my two first memories.

My first memory is definitely Ape. She was the only active Swede when I joined, plus we shared name and age as well, lol. Yeah that was the beginning of Sämskinn Solfjäder, aww those were the days.

The first memory of the actual board, a thread, was the Buffy+Faith=? thread that Fran (yeah, doppelgänger) started. Where me, her and Jill_Valentine posted a lot, if I remember correctly. That's how I became a real Faith fan and that's also sort of where I got to know my coolest friend Fran.

Crimeny I'm bad with memories. I have a few early ones, but pinpointing the first is not something I want to try. I joint the DDG game for a while, but left after pictures of feet arose (I HATE feet with a firey passion). Also one of the first people I remember is someone whos name I can't remember now and its peeing me off. I cant even remember if it was a he or she (and for that I feel bad). But (s)he was from New York and a big Oz fan. Think (s)he had a Oz-related nickname, but shortened it. I'm sure I havn't seen him/her for a long time but crikes I wish I could remember his/her name.

My best memory (not asked for but thought I'd throw it in) is when Buffy Summers PM'd me asking if I'd like to make a scheme. I think its safe to say anyone who ran into me on MSN at that point could tell I was giddy.

Perhaps you're thinking about former Mod FiveByFiveB, who changed her name over from Oz? She's the only one I can think of who was from New York, and she had a thing for Seth Green.

My first memories of the BB was seeing how great everyone was to eachother here....a rarity for discussion forums, and also getting to know the members Jacklyn and Rayne within two days of my first registering to this place. They were (and still are) great ladies that made me feel welcome right away, and over time became two very good friends.

Uh, my memory kinda sucks so i don't remember much from when I first joined. I just remember faiths5x5 in that Fuffy thread. Then there's this big hole and I don't remember much until i came back after a time of goneness and posted in the international/swedish threads and the Buffy+Faith=? thread that I started. And now that Eps reminds me, that's where I got to know her. Cool.
Aw, how much don't I owe to BB? Without it my coolest friend Eps wouldn't be sitting in my livingroom flippin through some something weird stuff. She says it's a script but I just don't know...

lol...i remember when me and rayne were mods....lol...we didn't know what the falk we were doing...but we made it work...ahh rayne...my dark angel...cheers to you...

Soulgasm~you sparked a memory for me. I seem to recall many arguments that I got into right away. (I think I developed an argumentative attitude from the start) with a couple members. I remember arguing with Happy alot.

My first memories were that everyone on here were so close to each other. I never thought I'd get a look in. I was intimidated by the mods. I remember my three favourite stooges - kd, OM and Points. They always had something cool to say and they still do. 🙂🙂🙂 Rayne as well - she rocks! I miss her very much.

Then of course there was Duck Duck Goose. Always had lots of fun there.
