I hate Ashanti. I hate hate hate her. When I first heard she was going to be on the show I nearly choked. I was truly outraged.

SPOILER!!!!! Sorry, don't know how to do the cool highlight thing:

And then for her to be the character she was, this insanely strong vamp chick who tortures my XanMan? Oh HELLLLL NO!
I was so happy to see her get her head chopped off. Even if it WAS only fake. GRRR.

END SPOILER.

I did love the Buffy/Wood interaction though... They were really cute together. 🙂

LOL agreed although I don't hate her I just think knowing who she is she doesn't feel right in Buffyverse.

Gah, I hate her aswell.
Shucks. I was hoping that we were gonna get to bash Robin Wood. Anyhow, just to show how well informed I am, I had never heard of the lady before this episode. I do think, though, that they have kinda overdone the Xander/Demon Lady magnet thing. I mean, if it's going to be a curse, like Angel's no-whoopie clause, they should at least let us in on it. They just can't expect us to accept this as some sort of coincidence. The best thing about the episode, though, was the look on Andrew's face when Xander came storming in and announced that he was going gay.

(Come to think of it, could Xander's bad luck with the opposite sex be because of the manipulations of a certain vengeance demon? It only happened once before she came along)

LMFAO I know, Andrew's reaction was hilarious!! And Willow's face when Xander was all "Gay me up!" was pretty funny, too. 😉

No Wood bashing for me. I liked Robin a lot. 🙂 I actually wish we could have seen more of him and Faith together...

I don't really hate the guy, I just thought at the time that he had GREAT potential as a bad guy, maybe an infiltrator secretly working for Caleb. Wasted opportunity.
I just hate Ashanti. I have hated her since she first became a "celebrity" or whatever. I just can't stand her, so I couldn't get past that in this episode... 😛

Yeah, Wood could have been a great baddie, but I was glad they made him good. 🙂

I liked Spike's amused expression better. :lmao:

I dislike this episode, because I think Xander has more issues that should have been dealt with than having him hook up with yet another demon! ::huh1::

Two. The teacher from S1 and Ampada.

Well, if you count Cordy, it would be three, even though she technically didn't go half-demon till later...
Always thought she was just any other unknown actress.
I'm actually glad that I didn't know anything else either.

Don't have any problem with her. Even though the whole storyline feels a bit random.
It gives us a few good laughs though so I don't mind.

What bugs me more is Woods hidden compartment with knifes. Why does he have that in his office?
Also not impressed with the whole trying to convince us that he is bad before "suprising" us by making him a good guy.
It was just to obvious and didn't work at all imho.

/SK

I didn't really know Ashanti before I saw this episode, although I had heard of her. I don't know her well to hate her, but I do hate her wooden acting. 😉

I found a mistake in one scene. I don't know if someone has mencioned it already, but....When Buffy, Robin and Spike are going in a car to the high school, Robin sees Spike throught the mirror, how can is this posible? Shouldn't he realize spike is a vampire? ...and after that, he is surprised about Spike is a vampire, but only when Spike change his face

I think thayt it was meant to be Robin TRYING to see Spike in the mirror, but he kept moving just out of the field of vision.
I hate Ashanti too.
Well I did when the episode came out anyway, because it was at the exact time when my sister was really into her music and would play her cd's all the time. Which wouldn't be so bad if the woman actually had any talent in singing or acting which she seriously seems to be lacking in.
Also, this episode did rather annoy me because it just seemed like they were using the same joke AGAIN, which really wasn't needed.

I didn't mind her at all. Kinda liked her.

Robin Wood on the other hand. GOD his character just annoys me!
The episode was decent though. But a shame to see Xander still has no luck with the ladies

agrees about Robin Wood
People seem to hate Ashanti a lot.....I guess I've never thought enough about her one way or the other to hate her. I know her name, but don't even know any of her songs really. Not my type of music though.

I like Wood, can't understand the hate. The feud between him and Spike was one of the more interesting aspects of the First storyline, which was pretty lackluster most of the time. I like that you can understand where Wood is coming from, even though Spike is one of the heroes. The guy did kill his mother though, have to cut him a little slack there. At any rate, in a season that includes a character like Rhona (or Kennedy if you prefer), how can you complain about either Wood or Ashanti?

Ashanti was just a blip on the screen. A zit on the chin of a prom queen, soon to be erased. Wood OTOH was around for a long time and while some may have thought of him as eye candy, I thought the character made for a dreadful principal of a school. Well,OK, since when did Sunnydale ever have a nice, normal principal? He did have reason to hate Spike and his self-control was admirable in that regard but a match for Buffy? Never. Although come to think of it Angel and Spike were both w-a-y older than him so maybe I shouldn't have thought of him as a dirty old man🙂
