Basically, what the thread title says.

First impressions of Buffy = it was amazing. Revolutionary, hilariously funny and perfect.

Final impressions = Still very good, but it definitely declined.

First impression of Buffy was that it was cool but not something I loved.

When I started to rewatch it last year, I loved it a lot more as I could relate to the characters more, which is something I couldn't do as a child.

My first impression was rather bad, to be honest.
I decided to watch some random episode and didn't get anything and everything was so confusing. I think it was The Killer in Me.
Then I decided to watch the first episode and I was hooked.

My final impression: One of the best shows ever, and my total favorite.

First impression: The show is okay and SMG is awesome.

Final impression: The first several seasons are awesome, but the show starts going downhill fast.

First impression: Pretty nice show, funny, little bit oldfashion.

Final impression: Best show ever but still a little bit oldfashion and more dark atmosphare in the show than in the beginning!

I can't really recall my first impression of the show as I watched it as it started and I hadn't heard any hype or anything. I thought it was great fun, and a lot smarter than others shows similar to it. It stayed true to itself and became more, and grew up as the characters did.

First Impressions.....

Season 1- This is awesome! These characters are actually a lot more likable than I thought possible. I was expecting more cheesy, cardboard cutout characters.

Season 2 - This show rocks! This is my favorite fictional work in any medium ever!!!

Season 3 - Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it does! I love Faith! I love the Mayor! I feel sorry for my parents that they didn't have this show when they were in high school.

Season 4 - What are they doing with my Giles? This is lame. Willow's a lesbian now? That makes no sense. I was never a huge Bangel but this Riley character really sucks. I miss Oz. I miss Angel. I miss Faith. I miss the Mayor. I miss Cordelia. I miss the library. Thank goodness for Spike.

Season 5-Buffy has a sister???? Okay. I like this show again. Giles is back together and Joyce is back. Tillow is growing on me. I like this Season's theme. It's not "old" Buffy but I could get used to this new show.

Season 6-This is too dark and depressing. I do not want to see Spike and Buffy on the balcony. I do not want to see Willow peel a guy's skin off. Joss where are you?

Season 7-Who are all these new people? Oh, so Willow's gay not bi anymore? Who is this Kennedy character, I mean Oz and Tara were both hard acts to follow but please. Why not get old characters to guest star? Yay! Faith's finally back.

Final Impressions

Season 1-This is very dated but it makes me nostalgic.

Season 2-Still one of my favorite things to watch though I wish it weren't so grainy.

Season 3-My favorite fictional work on film ever.

Season 4-Awesome standalones, but I rarely watch the episodes back to back and my least favorite season.

Season 5-One of my favorite seasons of the show and the reason I kept watching after Season 4.

Season 6-One of the most comforting seasons to watch. Oddly, it took going through adult life to make me appreciate it more than I could when I was 16.

Season 7-Andrew, as well as a lighter feel, helps redeem this season for me, but the focus should have been on wrapping up old storylines and characters and because of this this season has the most unused "Potential" of any season.

First impression- It's a little campy. I don't know if I'll get into this.

Final impression- Greatest. Show. Ever. Want more.

First impression ("Once More With Feeling")

Buffy and Spike are hot enough together to cause global warming, and Willow is the worst singer in the Buffyverse (At that time, I hadn't heard Angel's rendition of "Mandy")

Last Impression

I'm REALLY sorry that we can't see it when Buffy tears into Giles and Wood for almost killing the guy who ultimately winds up saving the world.

OK, bear with me.

First & Last Impressions

Season 1- I thought it was what the rest of the show would look like originally. Rewatching it now, it defintely has a campy type feel to it, but It's still awesome.

Season 2- Holy crap, this show is freaking amazing now! *Mid-Season big bad revealed* ANGEL TURNS EVIL????!!!!! 😱😱 This has got to be my favorite season out of all of them. A masterpiece of television.

Season 3- I already knew that Angel was coming back, being the spoiler hog that I am. Still, I love the way they did it. Still, Season 3 Bangel frustrates me. On and off, on and off, we can't be together, we're together, MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!!!!!

Season 4- And here starts my Riley-hating. I absolutely HATE what they did with his character, but It could be because I'm a big Bangel fan. Still, this season is defintely lower quality than Season 3 was.

Season 5- *Thinking to self* Just ignore Riley and Spike wanting Buffy, just ignore it, just ignore it.* Much, much better quality than Season 4 was.

Season 6
- Can't say, haven't watched it yet. 😱

Season 7
- See above.

PLEASE don't bash me for not watching Season 6 or 7 yet. I'm dividing my time between watching Buffy, Angel, and Charmed.

First Impression - Cool this is different.. I like it
Final Impression - Best show ever... I love it. Im hooked!

First impression: best show ever, Buffy is a real role model and Joss Whedon is amazing.

Final impressions: Seasons 1-3 still up in favourite list but on the whole not quite the revolutionary show I had once thought, past season 3 it's a good job I stopped idolising the character of Buffy as she's not who I thought she was, Joss Whedon should learn when to let go and he's not the creme of the crop.

Side note: I really do still love seasons 1-3 but it lost its magic (for me) after then.

First impression - lol, that was great fun.
Final impression - wow, that was amazing. Must see it again. *goes and inserts first disc of season one into the DVD player and presses play*

First Impression: I love t h i s show. I must watch all of it.

Final Impression: I love t h i s show. :cry2:

I was 8 or 9 when I started watching Buffy, 11 when I saw season 7. My first and final impressions would be completely different and more...thought out if I had watched it later in life haha. I also started with season 4 which made me more...intrigued I guess, because I didn't know what the hell was going on. If I had started with season 1, I don't think I would have been as enthusiastic about it in the beginning.

First Impression: It's pretty funny and fun to watch.

Final Impression: Oh my goodness gracious, that was beautiful. WHY JOSS, WHY?! My favourite show ever, why must everyone die, oh my gosh it's so cruel yet beautiful, forever rewatch!!! OMG SPUFFY, OMFG TILLOW FOREVER! AUIHAIUHSUFI SUIFHSUIKFHAUI!!

First impression: I have never seen anything like this and I need to see more!!!
Last impression: Dammit, I need to see more!!!
