I didn't see this posted yet, but I've also being avoiding the internet all day to spare myself SPN spoilers, so if it's already been posted, please delete. Also, since we don't have a S10 sub-forum as if yet, I thought this was the best place.

So, first look at BtVS S10...

So, what do you think? Is Rebecca Isaac's taking over as lead artist of the series? (Since Jeanty's going the Serenity comic, I'd say that was likely). Personally, I don't like her version of Buffy. She looks too old or something. But I've loved her Faith since the first issue of A&F and her Willow isn't half bad either.

From the positioning of everyone, can we assume that Faith is going back to the main title, leaving Angel on his own in England?

That actually looks pretty badass! Looks like teen!Giles is back with the Scoobies. Also that Buffy got a haircut. Maybe it's just up, though.

I sincerely hope this season will be good. Like, I want it to be amazing. I have a feeling it'll be the last. I want them to avoid inserting new supporting characters, because so far that hasn't been the most successful thing ever.

I wanna read about the guys I care about. Not about Billys and Anaheeds.

Cool poster, though I agree I dont like Buffy.

From the look of how the poster is divided into Angel and everyone else, think that means it will continue with two comics?

Moving between the scoobies and Faith feels like a lot for one book that has already had problems with it's pacing.

In the past I would have agreed with this sentiment, but the only other comic series I read is also by Christos Gage, coincidentally. In "Batman Beyond Universe," Christos does a stellar job of publishing an issue that contains two full-fledged stories every month.

The top story follows Terry McGinnis, the Batman of the future, and his large support cast. The second is technically a Justice League of the future series, but it really just follows an elderly Superman, touching on his interactions with the other heroes, including Batman II.

If this format carried over to Buffy Season 10, it could work nicely, imo. The main story following Buffy & co with a perspective like the televised series, and a B plot, following the supporting players more closely in rotation: mainly Faith, Willow, Xander, Spike, and Giles.

Judging solely the poster, I'm a little worried about the Angel title. I loved his pairing with Faith & Giles. I have read some of the Angel on his own comics, and find them comparatively boring. I'd say at the very least, bring back Gunn, Connor, and a female presence...

I'm not a big fan of comic art in general--aside from the covers which are sometime beautiful. I see your criticism, but I'd say Buffy looks more like Sarah Michelle Gellar there than she has before--again, aside from the covers.

The average "Buffy" in action sequences, if you showed just the face to someone who was familiar with SMG, but not with this series, I'd say would NEVER guess it was meant to be her.

Unfortunately, aside from Spike, Illyria, and Xander post-eye patch, none of the core have especially distinctive styles when compared to colorful iconic costumes of their fellow comic heroes. Angel has his billowing trench coat, but Buffy's basically just a normal woman with no distinctive feature outside of SMG's visage...

I don't mind Isaac's art style but this poster is pretty weakly composed. Why is Buffy pushed all the way out on the left with all that dead space in the center? Blah.

Still, looking forward to seeing where Season 10 goes.....

To me, it looks like the dead space is intentional to show Faith's distance from the Scoobies.

...that, or it's invisible!Dawn

So, according to Bleeding Cool, they're sticking with the same set up for S10, as far as the comics go. BtVS and A&F, which is confusing to me, since Faith expressed a desire to want to go back to America at the end of last season, taking Giles with her. Which makes the positioning of the people in Rebecca Isaacs' poster make a little more sense - Buffy, Xander, Willow, Giles and Spike on one side, representing their comic, with Angel and Faith on the other, representing theirs. Faith being on the other side of the wall from Angel could suggest that she'll be making appearances in both comics.

According to these images, Christoph Gage and Rebecca Isaacs will be the team behind BtVS S10, while Victor Gischler and Will Conrad will helm A&F.

It seems as though Angel, on the other side of the wall from everyone else, is in the dark, maybe suggesting that he's in another time zone, though why Faith isn't there with him, if they're still sharing the title is strange.

I do love the caption directly below Angel, though. "A MAN PEST."

In a New York Comic Con interview, it was mentioned that the reunion of Angel and Faith won't happen immediately, so I assume Faith will be spending some time with the Scoobies at first.

Also, Andrew Chambliss is out because he's focusing on his TV writing with Once Upon a Time.

Some thing I noticed about the Rebekah Isaacs picture:

Li'l Giles seems to be reading the Vampyr book, even though it went blank at the end of season 9. Maybe it's re-writing itself with the new rules for vampires?

Notice the tiny figure in the background behind Angel. I think that's the green snake-haired medusa girl they met in the hospital in Angel & Faith #25. Maybe she'll be a character in the new season?

Also, Willow appears to be a Texas Longhorns fan.

PLEASE tell me Buffy has her hair up

Her hair got chopped during that final battle at the Deeper Well. I don't think there's a huge gap in time between seasons 8 & 9 so it probably hasn't time to grow back yet. Or, she decided she likes it like that. 😉

I haven't even read s9, but I'm excited for s10! Just one question, where exactly is Dawny?

That question is still up for debate at the moment. No one seems to be mentioning her, & Georges Jeanty had no knowledge of S10 when he was at the con this weekend. :(

Rebecca Isaacs' cover for S10 issue #1:

I imagine it's not to be taken literally, lol.

Can they just stop with this whole high school theme already? Buffy is like 30, Jesus, just...just don't, OK? Also, a cover like this has already been done in season 8. Buffy comics: We rehashed stories, we rehashed villains, we even rehashed titles, now we rehash covers!

I like that cover, I doubt the story has anything to do with high school, but Buffy having to relearn everything she knew about vampires since the rules have changed.

I was just going to post that Lyri!
