It's hard to tell much from the artist's rendition, but the other girl there might be Faith rather than Dawn, especially if we are to assume that what they're looking at is Giles performing some sort of magic ritual or spell. I would think that Faith would be more likely to be concerned for him than Dawn would.

I've just been on one of the other Buffy-related message boards and looked about their discussions of the interview. Very interesting, if very 'Spuffy-heavy'.
There seems to be a lot of denial over the end of the 'Spuffy' romance/ now good friends thing. Lots of will they/won't they comments. (clearly they won't be)
Also there's an still an awful lot of Angel-hatred, 'cause of the whole 'Twilight' thing. 🙄


In fact, go to page 4 of the 'New Rules: Issue 1' discussion thread, and look at the issue review by 'MikeB'@- the first Spuffy fan I ever interacted with, and has coloured my views on them ever since. 😛

Very nice picture. Xander looks majorly badass, but also very much like Nic.

Also I've never seen a picture of (comic) Buffy with short hair that I liked until now.

I just love all the dialogue here. Dracula is fantastic, and in character with his other appearances. 🙂

Also, nice that the Xander/Drac realationship has changed for the better but still remains consistant with S8.

Plus, 'Drander' is so a 'ship now, Drac wants Xander at his orgies. 😀

That was so entertaining! The most fun and funny dialogue I've read in a while! I love how wounded Dracula is snarking at Xander. LOL Xander should have returned his letters.

I didn't like Dawn's "in case you didn't watch the show" part. It felt too meta and something fans would discuss in forums than something Dawn would say. She could just say, "I know." And maybe throw a sarcastic comment about Xander's behavior around Dracula, that's it.

I believe the name for the Xander/Dracula ship is Xancula.

Cover and info for #8

And now Dark Horse have announced that the third "˜Starting Point' issue and series will be Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season 10, #8. It makes perfect sense, of course, since Buffy is the definition of an invested long-form comic series for Dark Horse and part of their biggest fanbase. This is the the wraparound cover art for #8.

Now that is quite the Halloweeny cover with great poster-themed colors. It's bound to catch the eye of new readers, especially with the seasonal appeal. And for those who already love Buffy? Well, they'd never miss out on this cover anyway.
