Just watch Buffy Season 1, 2, 3, and Angel Season 1, 2, 3, 5. There are best and better then Buffy season 4, 5, 6, 7 and Angel Season 4.

I think for the sake of clarity, he should watch the seasons in total and in order as nature intended 😉

I appreciate that. but you suggested he watch Angel Seasons 1, 2, 3 & 5. If he misses out 4 some of 5 won't make sense. 😉 He doesn't appear to be looking for suggestions of what seasons to watch, he's going to watch them all and presumably in order, which he should in order to appreciate the shows as a whole. 🙂
