...on any Buffy-related forum. Just started re-watching all the Buffy Seasons (on disc 3 of Season 2) and remembering how wonderful the series was. Actually got on the boards to find the answer to a question that's been bugging me since Buffy died the 2nd time (why there wasn't a Slayer called after her death.) So far the board looks great, I was never one to post on any kind of board like this. And after reading about all the people that do fan fiction, have Buffy parties, and roleplay as BTVS characters etc, I felt a bit inadequaty about my Buffy nerd status. So I decided to list my "Buffy Nerd credentials" to appease the geeks of higher power on here:

- I was actually one of the first people on the internet street team that advertised the release of Buffy Season 1 on DVD through email, thus getting me a free copy of the 1st season before I even had a DVD player.

- I have met Harmony, Spike, Drusilla (sadly with no pictures or autographs) and Joss whom I had sign my 1st Season DVD and some non Buffy-related comics (also found out from Joss what 5X5 meant.)

- I was a volunteer impromptu "entertainer" as a breakdancer at a Buffy party at a Wizard World Comic Convention (which scored me a Buffy wall scroll and Lunchbox.)

- After getting higher than I've ever been my entire life (and the last time I got high to boot) I laughed, screamed and cried during the 100th episode where Buffy died (while watching the taped episode at like 3 in the morning trying not to wake anyone up.)

- I videotaped almost every episode of Buffy and tried futilly (and globally) to track down the only episode I ever missed and didn't tape, which was the first episode with Warren in it (I never caught the episode until the Season came out on DVD.)

- I almost cried while sober when after the first 5 minutes of the premier episode of Season 6 I taped blacked out due to the cable going out while I was in class.

- I made this list of "Buffy Nerd credentials" (thank God for internet anonymity, I can geek out guilt-free on here!)

I guess that's the benefit of living in Chicago (or I guess California to a greater extent.) I was originally gonna put your quote as my favorite quote, but I also wanted to include the part where he said "take it back" or something to that effect but I didn't remember the quote word for word and I didn't want to put such a long quote on here (esp. since I'd have to include Buffy's quote in-between Spike's two quotes.) One of my favorite funny moments in any Buffy ep!

Hey fray adjacent, nice username. Does the fact I remember the exact episode and scene it's from give me my own nerd credential? Haha.

And as for the benefit of living in California, there's meeting and there's seeing in passing. Here in Cali, if anything, I see them in passing. Haha. But it's really cool that you got to meet Mercedes, Juliet and James, plus God, I mean erm, Joss. 😉

Oh and with this obsessive site- your nerd credentials will build up fast. TRUST ME.

and yes Joyce, the fact that you remember the exact ep and scene greatly proves your credentials! (Especially since I didn't remember myself, I was actually thinking of naming myself Fray after I found out FivebyFive was taken, and then I remembered Xander saying "fray adjacent.")

Just as side-notes, Blondie Bear - I was born in Virginia and Joyce - I used to live in San Diego, but sadly didn't see any celebrities there 🙁

Digging the female love? You just made me choke on cocoa laughing (The second person to do that) and ah San Diego, not so good for the celeb spots alas. And glad my credentials are being upped ;)
Welcome! You seem to fit in perfectly, and in comparison I don´t. I´m nowhere near your nerd credentials. But I don´t care. I´ll love it hear and I´m sure you will too.
