So. I'm getting my boyfriend to watch all of Buffy and Angel for the first time. He's a big fan of Firefly and Serenity, so I already knew he'd enjoy the writing.
There's quite a few folk here that have shown their partners/best friends/cat the show already, and I want to know what were some of the reactions. Not the overall reactions ie I love the humour, the acting etc, but specific moments. Moments that as a Buffy fan are huge to us, but to them it's all new. It's hard when you've watched the episodes so many times to try to look at them with fresh eyes.
My boyfriend, being a fan of Seth Green already, was always going to love Oz. But didn't know much of the character yet. Once he'd seen him a few times, and by the descriptions of a Gathering, a Shindig, and a Hootenany, he had to shout out 'he's me!' haha
We're only at the beginning of season 3 but a few more of his first time viewing reactions -
* He LOVES Angelus, and noticed how much better David Boreanaz was as an actor by this point.
* Xander is the one who gives him the most laughs, and says he reminds him of Bruce Campbell.
* Noticed that Buffy is quite unlikeable in both season openers in season 2 and 3.
* He said 'Giles is a badass!' more than a few times.
* Gave a big awww at Giles' 'there is no spell' in Faith, Hope and Trick.
