did anyone have any ideas or theories about what this meant- i always though it might have something to do with the saying said when a babyis born and its ok, 10 fingers and 10 toes, e.g. five fingers by five fingers and five toes by five toes, shortened too five by five, what do you think?

I heard someone use that expression in a wierd comicbook-rip off movie where they were maiking a superhero out of this black dude that look a lot like a NBA player. Anyway... they were testing his uh.. radio he had built in the helmet and when he tested it, he said the transmission was five by five. I thought it had somthing to do with radio communication?
