So im hear to discuss flashbacks! 🙂
Do you like them? I came to notice these particularly in angel, although they have been in buffy too. I was watching a season 2 episode of angel, where the "darla" storyline is happening, and this has invloved MANY flahsbacks to when angel and darla ran amok in the world for 150 years, hunting, feeding, destroying. Do you like these?
Personally, IMO, i ::heart:: them! I ::heart:: seeing agelus and darla, sometimes with spike and dru, tear through europe. Although spome may feel that there has been too many, i have liked their overall effect and think that it has rounded up the whole 'angel obsession with darla' bit. I think they have been done stylishly and perfectly.

I really love the flashbacks. It's so cool to see what has happened in Angel's past or Darla's past. Anyone for that matter. It's interesting to see how the whole story fits together, how the events from the past link to the events in the present. It's all just very fascinating for me to think about. LOL Maybe I have too much time to think about it, but it's still fun.

I also love the costumes. I love to compare the period dress styles. (It's just a me thing.) I wish I could get my hands on some of those costumes...

I welcome flashbacks! I wish they would have more on Buffy, actually, but I guess that's one thing that distinguishes Angel from BTVS. 😀
 
I love the flashbacks. 🙂 Adds to the show, I find it really interesting to see what happened in Angel's past. When he was still mortal, as Liam, when he was Angelus and was with Darla, when he just got his soul back, etc. And I love how the flashbacks occur in such a different order to how they actually happened, so when you're going through the Season events tie up in your mind, you know? They're done so well.
I'm actually glad they're only really done on Angel, because it gives the show another difference from BtVS. Besides, on BtVS they can only really do proper flashbacks with Spike, and they have done that with Fool For Love, which was a good episode. 🙂
 
I totally agree with everything said: it makes a good difference from BtVS, and its done sooo well! It completely rounds up an episode and season!
I ::heart:: angel's flashbacks the best - as you said, flammable -0 through all his stages in his life. Their totally great!
