Flirting

Does it matter if you're in a relationship or not?

It certainly matters if your wife has a 5th degree black belt and is a dead shot, believe me.

It also matters, even more, of you're married to the most wonderful woman in the world, and wouldn't take even the slightest chance of jeopardizing that for something hat would lead nowhere in the first place.

So, no, I don't flirt, even as a joke.

I don't find it hugely respectful to flirt with people if you're in a relationship, but that's just me. It depends on what kind of relationship you have and whether there's any kind of intent involved.

When I was single my flirting used to consist of me smiling at someone or walking up to them and saying "hey, I think you're cute". That's about it, I never understood more than that. 😀 Now when I'm married the only flirting I do is with my husband and that usually consist of me saying "so..... wanna have sex?" Nooooo, I'm joking. Or AM I? 😀 😀 😀

Hehehe :D
I think if you're in a relationship you shouldn't flirt. I don't really have any flirting 'moves' or whatever you wanna call them. I'm too much of a wuss to go out and be all flirty. I've never like, picked up anyone in a bar or anything like that, all my boyfriends have been friends first. I suppose I probably did it to them but I never consciously thought 'hey I'm gonna flirt with you now' 😛

I only flirt with the hubby.

Even before I was married . . .I am way too shy to even just talk to most people. And flirting takes even more courage. I think so, anyway.

I wish I could flirt but I am very bad at it. I'm the kind of girl who just let guys come to me and flirt. Responding to a guy flirting with me is something I can do. Taking the lead?Only once I know the guy...

I really don't try to. I think it happens unintentionally. If I seem like I'm flirting with someone...chances are I am completely joking or that I'm not really interested in that person, in that way. I mean...ugh it depends haha. When I really like a guy, I am so unbearably awkward. Oh god. It's awful. I suddenly develop a slight case of...deafness and I have to keep asking him to repeat things or I respond to him in a way that makes absolutely no sense, and I then I end up eating an entire bowl of limes.

But that's another story.

I remember in middle school I apparently developed a reputation as a flirt because I would pick on guys. I was serious though! My humor is not dry and witty when I actually like someone, because I sound like an idiot when I try to be alluring.

The one time (the night with the limes) that a guy laughed with me at my unbearable awkwardness...I found out he had a girlfriend literally 10 minutes after I thought, "Heyyy he wasn't completely turned off by my anti-flirting." Hence the limes.

To answer the question...no I do not flirt intentionally. I apparently do it when I talk to people I'm not even interested in, and I am incapable of doing it when I actually like the person or find them attractive. This is my life. Welcome.

I do it unintentionally too. LOL
HA! I don't think I know how to flirt, haha. 😛 Sometimes if I see someone I think is cute I'll smile at them or something but that's it.

I'm with Fredikins, I do it unintentionally. Apparently, everyone but me seems to believe that I'm a big flirt. But I don't know how! It's not like I'm all:

I mean I smile a lot, I'm friendly and outgoing, I call a lot of women "sweetheart", "angel", and "baby", but that doesn't qualify as flirting to me. I'm just me, you know? 😛

I'm incredibly flirtatious and I always have been. My dad told me I used to wink at our pastor every Sunday when I was little. I like making people feel good and flirting is an easy way to do it. I don't even have to like someone to flirt with them. It's just who I am.

Also, its important to me not to flirt when I'm in a relationship unless it's my significant other.

I don't think I flirt but I find that if I have chemistry with someone, anyone at all, I get very...banter(y) with them. I don't necessarily mean that to be flirtatious (although there are times when I absolutely mean it (sw)) but I've been told that it comes off very very flirty.

That being said, I would never flirt with someone I knew to be involved with someone else. That's not how I roll. 😎

I am not very good at flirting so I don't do it. Normally. And if I do out of several reasons it never works... 😀 Seems like destiny...

I'm not good with the flirting thing, I'm actually rather awkward at it and it doesn't come naturally. I suppose that if I have a 'move' then it'd be tilting my head and smiling... usually works though. 🙂

But if I'm out with friends I do like talking to people and some seem to take that as flirting, which it really isn't btw! And if I was in a relationship I don't think flirting would be particularly awful as long as it stayed at that, flirting is essentially harmless to me, depending on your intentions of course.

Apparently I'm a big flirt but I don't do it intentionally - I just like people and I'm curious about them. I think if I really like someone I just give them a lot of attention. Now when people flirt with me, I'm clueless. Girls, puppies, Men - they could be completely coming on to me and I think they're just being nice.

I am a bit of a flirt but mostly because I'm quite a happy person. I don't do the whole sexy dance moves or anything though. I'm just to tall and awkward (as well as being in a relationship) to do that. I don't get come ons either, my boyfriend almost gave up on me because he thought I wasn't interested haha.

I don't agree with flirting if you're in a relationship though.

I suck at flirting. Either I'm too shy (and sober) to actually go up and talk to guys, or I'm so wasted I usually just tell them directly what I want and just skip the whole flirting thing.

It's actually an issue with me and one of my friends recently pointed out to me that I have a communication problem with guys. She thinks I can't talk on the same level with guys as I can with girls, which leads to one of two scenarios describes at the beginning of the post. She's probably right. And it does bother me, but I just never really learned how to be good at these things.
