So, the footies been back a week or two now, and theres some big games coming up. Liverpool in Champions league qualifier tonight, which they should win but 0-0 from first leg! could be a shocker.
But the BIG one on sunday. The Mighty Celtic vs this little team called Rangers. And my team is looking good for the win.
So football fan, chat away, whats your thoughts on the season ahead?

Oh, tonight will be interesting game. Sure. Liverpool have won both matches in the league sp far (Yay!) but they played awful. Tonight is not the night to demand a good looking play. A win is everything. If they lose tonight I advice everyone to stay away from me. 😉

Sunday I can watch 14 games on swedish tv and none of them are Celtic - Rangers. I can´t believe it. That would never have happened if Henke still played for Celtic.

I have some kind of "interest" to a lot of teams but as time has gone by I´m not quite the fanatic as I used to be. So some teams are more or less just for nostalgic reason. Don´t ask me for their line-up or anything.

Belgium: Anderlecht
Brazil: CR Flamengo
Denmark:F.C. Kà¸benhavn
England: Liverpool
France: Marseille
Germany: Borussia Mönchengladbach
Holland: Ajax
Italy: AC Milan
Portugal: Benfica
Scotland: Glasgow Rangers
Spain: Real Madrid
Sweden: Malmö FF
USA: L.A. Galaxy (No, not because of D.B)

But there can only be one nr. 1 and that´s Liverpool. Always and forever. If I had to chose only one team there would be no choice. Simple as that.

nahnahnahahahh WHAT DO YOU MEAN? BENFICA? BENFICA SUCKS!!!SUCKS!!!SUCKS!!!!!! ... Sporting Rules :D (i'm sorry.. i hate benfica that's all :( )
Everyones got a team in each league they have a soft spot for, so i'll do mine too.

HOLLAND: Feyenoord
SPAIN: Barcelona
FRANCE: Marseille
ITALY: Inter Milan
BELGIUM: Anderlecht
SWEDEN: Helsingborgs
GERMANY: Bayern Munich
PORTUGAL: Benfica
GREECE: Panathinikos

Others Champions league teams i notice and like are Rosenborg and Galatasaray.

But THE best team in the history of football is THE CELTIC, or if you prefer, the bhoys, the tims or the hoops.

Im not happy with Arsenal at the moment have not started the season well at all. Also with Chelsa and Manu u have such amazing sqiuads we have no chance for 1st and if Torres finds great form we might only make 4th :S . I have Chelsa for the win and Im gunna pick Barclona for the Champions league but the champions league is so hard to predict.

What's wrong with you people? Why Benfica? WHY??? Sporting is much better!! :'( and BTW: Benfica: 1 - 1 Rio Ave (hahahaha Benfica didn't start very well 😛)

Well, i know we had a player called Farnerud but i think he's not in the team anymore lol

Stefan Schwarz, Jonas Thern (both from MFF, my swedish club) and Sven Göran Eriksson is why Benfica is "my" club. How many swedes have Sporting had? ;) But Sporting has a kick ass youth academy.
I'll be watching the football tonight. Come on Standard Liege!

If I supported any other team my family would disown.

Manchester United is the team for me.

Family grew up in and around Salford before most moved to around Warrington just before I was born.

You know how most grandparents have pictures of there children in there house, it's pictures of past United players and other United memorabilia on walls and cabinets.

It's like a shrine to United seriously.

Although I only follow football at the business end of the season, you know the last month and half when it's more interesting.

CL qualifier + Liverpool = smallest margin possible. We´re through and that´s all that matters. But how hard can it be to pass the ball to someone in motion and not directly at someones feet? Meh!

On a sidenote: Marseille through as well.

Disappointing. Liverpool won. Damn, they shouldnt even be in the CHAMPIONS league, seeing as they finished 3rd, whats that all about?

Liverpool makes me want to eat my own face then sick it up and then eat it again.

Nah, don't like them much.

😉

I'm a life long United supporter as Willy and TK know😉

I adore the team but I'm slightly comcerned about what has gone on over the summer with Ronaldo. In my opinion if a player doesn't want to play for a team then you should just get rid of them. No matter how talented, if you don't have heart you have nothing. We have gotten off to a bit of a shakey start, I know we can win everything but after the summer I don't think things bode well.

I hope I'm wrong.

Old Firm match at the weekend? Who cares about Rangers and Celtic? Partick Thistle all the way!! :lol2:

Ok, I might just be saying that because I'm jealous I won't be able to watch the match at the weekend...

Interesting group for Liverpool. No "major" big club but not any "small" team either. Could go either way really. Could finish 4th. Probably the group that are hardest so predict.

Looking at the teams in the group Celtic is bound for 3rd place. But the good thing is that they have the chance to surprise. I wouldn´t mind them finish top two in their group. With United in third place would be heaven (not that it´s gonna happen). Yes, third would be better than fourth.

Arsenal and Chelsea shouldn´t have any big problems to go to the second tound.

Celtic will win their group. Man U are goin down

Thing is, every single year Celtic are underrated, and everyone says they will finish 3rd or 4th, but every year we beat the so called *big boys*.
We beat Man u 2 years ago. We beat AC last year(cl champs too) others on the list are Juventus, Lyon, Porto, Shakhtar etc etc. In uefa cup we've beat Liverpool, Stuttgart and Barcelona. So, if i could make bets on here i would. Celtic will beat Man U and Villareal. We will see. Celtic are not only giants, but giant killers. Dont underestimate.

The Champions league looks a bit minty.. some odd new faces, some predictable old ones. I have no doubt that Celtic will miracle three wins at home and get humped three times away.

Its a pity Rangers aren't there, or I could support another team that I hate.

I predict this years champions league will be won by some outsider. I've got a feeling in the pit of my stomach this year won't be won by one of the usual suspects(or maybe the feeling is I'm about to vomit)

Just because other people did it, and I don't want to be left out..(actually I don't know why, but this reason seems as plausible as any)

Teams I support(and by support I mean looking at the results in the paper and giving a little fist pump if they win.. on the inside, I'm not too comfortable with public displays of emotion)

Scotland - St.Mirren(Is that laughter I hear? shut up, and sit down)
England - I used to like this little team called Bromsgrove Rovers, but I think they died. So I guess man u, because Ferguson is Scottish and used to manage St mirren. I also have a soft spot for Liverpool and Everton.
France - Monaco
Italy - Sampdoria
Spain - Barcelona
