Football Thread - Post-Match Interviews

I'm just waiting for Kerri to come in here and laugh her ass off. 😛

In other news. Sweden is looking for a new manager and now it seems they're approaching Sven Göran "Svennis" Eriksson. Without a doubt the most famous and successful manager/coach Sweden have. Not sure if he's the right man for the job though. I'd really, really love it if he came and got success but with the players we have I just don't see it happening. The former manager may have been criticised a lot, sometime fair, but before missing out on the WC next year he took us to 5 championships in a row. Which is a pretty decent record considering how small our country is.

That goal should have definatly counted, the keeper could've thrown it off the pitch. Still not looking That bad for lpool, they are only 7 points behind the leaders. I think they'l have a tough time in Lyon tomorrow.

Lets see how it looks after todays game shall we? Nothing speaks for Liverpool. Which in itself might be the only thing they got going for them as well as it's better to play at home than away. But what would come from a defeat is nothing but real crisis if it wasn't before. The season is long so it doesn't have to end with total disaster even if they loose today but it'll be a club in big problems that's for sure. Who's to blame? I'll get back to that in case we loose.

Oh, a defeat with Owen scoring is as expected as christmas in december. 😉

And will the Unitedfans do anything with beach balls? Can't wait to see.

I've got Sky Sports News on, and I'm pretty sure they just said security were confiscating beach balls...so I guess they had something planned but the staff had already had that thought too. 🙂

A few managed to get onto the field none the less but never played a big part.

And sometimes you're wrong. Not like I'm complaining this time. 😉 We were the better team but we also were a bit lucky. Fun that Vidic get sent off for the third game in a row against Liverpool. 😛

I'm almost embarassed to say i support Dinamo after this, the worst miss i have ever seen.

You beat me to it. :)
That is indeed a bad miss. And it made them get a draw and not a win. Happy teammates and coach in the dressing room I guess. 😛

Surprised not to see Dancing man here. He likes to come in after Arsenal win. But it's sad how little the Carling cup means. Two minutes after the game and I couldn't care less about the game.

yeah i can imagine the screaming in the locker room hehe.

It will mean alot if Arsenal win it with their young squad, it will be their first trophy in 5 years i believe?

Something like that yeah. Arsenals squad is probably the youngest in the league (I can't see any team having a lower average). Wenger is great at giving young players a chance and they do very well. That can't be denied. But sometimes when people talk about them it sounds like it's a team of teenagers and that's not totally true. For example:

Age this year:

Almunia - 32

Sagna - 26
Vermaalen -24
Gallas - 32
Clichy - 24
Silvestre -32

Diaby - 23
Fabregas - 22
Rosicky - 29
Arshavin - 28
Eboue - 26

Eduardo - 26
van Persie - 26

But was that their carling cup squad? because while their first team isnt as young it would be amazing for their really young players to win it.

Interesting 24 hours for us (Hull City). Hopefully some exciting and positive changes lie ahead. Brown's days are numbered now I think, can't say I'm upset.

What's happened? Enlighten us that don't keep track on Hull. ;)
The Kinslayer agrees: What's happened? Enlighten us that don't keep track on Hull. 😉

Haha, you should be keeping track!! 😛

Well there were rumours yesterday (in the media) that Phil Brown had been sacked as manager but then Hull released a statement denying it. Then our OLD chairman resigned from Derby which added a bit more fuel to the fire and our CURRENT chairman resigned today.

Everyone knows Duffen (current chairman) was a big reason as to why Brown hadn't been fired despite winning something like 3 games out of goodness knows how many.

So, yeah...interesting times lay ahead. Expecting our old chairman to be coming back.

Oh and we're also apparently in financial trouble too. But I only caught bits of that on Sky Sports News.

I've heard about Brown probably getting sacked but I'm sorry to say that news about Hull chairmen, old or current ones, isn't going to be a big thing over here. But I'll look tomorrow. Somewhere should be a tiny article. 😉

lol, its not really a big thing over here either ;)
One win in the last seven games. Liverpools great form continues. Having half the squad injuried or sick (some virus going around), forced or stupid substitions and two red cards made sure it happened this time. A win in champions league is a must next week. Not that easy though since it's away to Lyon.

In a few hours the last game of the season will be played in allsvenskan, the swedish premier league. The two teams who have the chance of winning the title meet. The home team, IFK Göteborg/Gothenburg needs to win while a point is enough for the away team, AIK. The teams are among the most popular ones in Sweden, some would say they are the two biggest of all time and they are from rival cities (Stockholm and Gothenburg, the two biggest cities in Sweden) so it really can't get any bigger than this. While I like IFK a bit better than AIK they're also a bigger rival to my team, MFF, so I have a hard time deciding who I want to win. There's four teams I don't want to see winning the championship and IFK and AIK is two of them. I just hope there won't be too much trouble/fights due to the game. Sadly there's a big chance of that happening.

*ignores everything Liverpool*

Can't be fun to playing against this player.
