Starting a new thread since the last one was closed.
I'll take the oppurtunity to plug my EPL fantasy league as well 😛

If anyone's interested, I've started a BB fantasy prem league if there's anyone that wants to play.

I don't have a topic to start off with, but I must tell you all that the White Hats shall prevail!

Maybe I can make a list or BB'ers participating in this first post for others to see and hopefully they can then join if they see a friend playing as well. Just an idea.
All those playing can say so in their post and I can then make the list since I don't recognise everyone in the league, but I have a fair idea.

Seriously, what the hell is going on with Arsenal. Selling Adebayor and Toure to Man City, and now also Eboue is supposedly going to fiorentina. THey havent bought anyone yet except for that CB from ajax. I'm really worried for them, if they dont buy anymore players i really think they'll be out of the top four.
 
Arsenal will have the same problem as every year. If they are fit they'll probably be big contenders for the win but a few injuries and they'll be good but not that close. Will it be enough for 4th place? It'll all come down to injuries. More or less injury free and I think they'll manage. But they can still by someone new so it don't have to be so bad. Based on rumours Toure and Gallas isn't the best of friends and Adebayor wasn't the most inspired player last season so it might not be as bad as it sounds.


And Liverpool are in trouble too. Losing Arbeloa wasn't a surprise and even though he wouldn't have been a starter this season it's still a big blow since our depth now is way worse. And not like we got much money for him either (expiring contract and him wanting to leave) so not like we'll find a good replacement. But the big blow is of course to loose Alonso who know have handed in a transfer request. I don't blame him for leaving even though I'll miss him big time. He wouldn't be easy to replace in the first place but with a transfer request it'll be harder to get a lot of money for him.

The best player we've been linked to replace him with is Aquilani from Roma. A good player but not like italians usually adapts very well to the english style of play and he's been injury prone the last few season only playing 15, 13 and 24 games in the league. So looks like quite a gamble considering our next options in midfield is Lucas and youngster Spearing...

Guess our season just as Arsenal will depend heavily on injuries. Chelsea and Manchester United and even City and Everton at this point have more depth than us. Can end very badly.

At this point I'd say that Chelsea are the favourites. But a lot will depend on how Ancelotti works out. I have my hopes he won't do too well but who knows. If they get Drogba in the mood to play again and having Essien for most of the season they're big favourites in my eyes. With Xabi I'd have hope we could have a chance but if he leaves I don't.

And oh surprise, surprise. I've changed my team again. I thought I'd give it a scandinavian touch. That must be the best move right? 😉

This is defininetly Chelsea's year 😉, a lot may be determined on whether Ancelotti can manage the team but I have feel optimistic. Arsenal really are in dire need of new transfers, but given that they won't have any major interrtuptions they can still contend for fourth, I really don't think Liverpool are in too much trouble even if Alonso leaves but you all may know a hell of a lot more than I do about the game.

Sidebar: Arshavin - Worth it? Given that Arsenal probably won't have the best start, but that just means that the other players will have to hold their team together much harder. This might work in favour of thir own statistics?

Celtic lost to Dinamo Moscow last night in CL qualifiers 🙁 its annoying cos apart from their early goal we were all over them. We'l beat em in Moscow though!

Ha ha. I was addicted, first to CM and later FM but tried to stop (threw away all my old games for example). Managed to stay away for some time but are now back to playing. And the version I'm currently playing is 07. 😛
 
I am sick of managing in england, i hate getting work permits, especially because i love to sign south americans.

Yeah. Those are incredibly annoying. But at the same time it gives a different challenge.

Sad news but not surprising. So now we need replacements and that fast. Our bad results in the friendlies don't worry me as much as they should. We were crap last year too. And the season still ended better than in a long time in the league. But got to admit that we had more than a little luck with a few results at the start at the season. Less than two weeks to get things in order. Getting in a new player replacing a keyplayer won't be easy. Now lets see what we'll buy. Will it be the gamle Aquilani like the press claims? And can we please, please have another player too. After last season I had high hopes about this season. Now it feels like we can be outside top 4...
 
with only 3 days left, the league looks pretty much set, I was hoping more would join 🙁
It should be funny regardless though, I can start a head to head league if y'all want maybe a few weeks in so we can adjust our teams? it might be too late now
