Thought Id start a thread about football and for you americans i dont mean the nfl.

I support arsenal 😀

What do you fans think of the fixtures released today?

Arsenal have everton away a dam hard game to start the season.

Also Kean Arsenal are coming for you bigger and better I hated how we preformed against man u towards the back end of the season we handed you the premiership which made me sick.

Well i support Newcastle United as that is my home town, but as you can guess since getting relegated it doesnt make happy reading for me seeing the teams that we are playing lol
I think now that Man United have got no Ronaldo though they will struggle a bit this season

Unlucky about Newcastle but this could be a good thing give the teams a kick up the ass.

Also if United get Ribery and benzima they will be stronger without Ronaldo.
 
Arsenal are coming for us? LMFAO...your squad is light years away from genuinely contending! Not enough depth and not enough experience and Fabregas is looking to go too? That will set ye back even further. No way will ye genuinley contend this season.

As for Ronaldo I'm delighted to see the back of him. He was lazy fecker whose (in my opinion) moments of brilliance didn't make up for the the work he didn't do for the rest of team. He is a petulent, endulgent child and good riddance. We may have a bit of a transition season this year but if we buy smart I think we will do well. There is definitely more trophies in this squad...that I am certain of. 😀
 
To be honest thats one good thing about Newcastle going down, we get rid of all of teh rubbish such as Owen. One of Newcastle's problems is that the players we have dont care about the team and therefire did not care enough to keep us up in the premier league :s
Oh yeah Man U will find someone who will keep them strong they alawys do! (sw)

Farbregas isnt leaving according to the sun hes happy at Arsenal for now.

I dont want to win the prem I know we have a way to go. But id like to beat man u twice this season that would make my year.

You see that is the difference here, beating us should never be the highlight of your season, nevermind the ultimate goal of your season. You can be sure as Hell beating your lot will never be the highlight of ours.

In a way I feel bad for Wenger because I have a lot of respect for him as a manager but what is it five seasons without silverwear? From a team that were THE contenders not too long ago? That can't be right.

Do I really have to tell you my team? I think I´ll refuse. 😛 You should know by now. Isn't it fun to take things for granted? 😉

If the players Arsenal have just keep fit they can be really dangerous. But they never seem to be able to so they'll probably won't win next year either. United will always be strong. At least as long as sir Alex stays. But depending on what they buy this summer (since they might be without both Ronaldo and Tevez next season) it can become more difficult than usual. Loads of talented players coming up though. Wingers seems to be their biggest problem for the moment. If they get Ribery I'll be very annoyed. I was happy to see Ancelotti come to Chelsea. I might regret that later but I don't see certain success. Liverpool don't have any money according to rumours and even though last season went better than anyone would have thought, especially since Gerrard and Torres were injured from time to time there's big doubts if they can repeat it. Everton is a team that can be very intresting. They should be able to become an even bigger threat in the future and that's only good for the league. Aston Villa on the other hand might have had their chance this season and they couldn't take it. Need more depth and some really good new players.

As for Newcastle it was about time. I feel bad for the supporters but they way the club has been managed it was just a matter of time. Hopefully this will be good for you (but remember Leeds) and you'll be back in a year or two and that time know what you're doing.
 
Not just Americans who call English football 'soccer' I'm English and call it soccer. Born in Salford, born a red. My stance on Ronaldo, amazingly good player bit of a prick though. Not bothered to him staying or going, he stays he is a great player when he wants to be, he goes you can buy more than enough talent to make up for him with the suspected £80 million offered. It's destined for him to go to Madrid anyway take the phrase Cristiano Ronaldos Dream. Re-arrange it some and add some punctuation and you get 'Real Madrid Star Icon. Soon!' Anagrams really do amaze me.

I dont feel bad for Wenger he needs to wake up. You cant win any major trophy with kids you need world class players alongside the youth they would also learn from the world class players aswell.

To be honest its getting annoying supporting Arsenal but what can I do?

I just sit back and think of the glory days of the invincible and wait for better times.

No one has contributed any other countries yet though, bring up a league or team and I'm sure people will talk. Same as people play football in other countries than America but people still only usually talk about the NFL, the Premiership is the most well known and considered the best league in all the soccer world which is why usually many people will talk about the Premiership off the bat.

On that note, I'm a fan of La Liga, I love the Spanish way of football, high tempo and exciting, it's great to watch and they have produced many of the world's greatest players out there at the moment.
 
The best league in the world? Means the league with the most money, not the best to watch. I hate the amount of money that's wasted in the English Premiership. It's really a lot compared to any others, and it's usually boring as hell to watch. Plus the sycophantic way the media and fans treat the players is nauseating. Anyways, I do watch football occasionally. I don't support any team though. Maybe Partick Thistle 😉 since I grew up across the road from their ground.

I only said considered the best league in the world. Like I already said, I like the Spanish football style in La Liga. I only say it's considered the best league because it is where many of the top world class players want to play.
