Last night I had a disturbing dream that Tim Cahill died. I cried.
Getting my celebratory Everton getting into the FA cup tattoo on Wednesday. And yes, I'm aware that it is sad that I celebrate getting into the FA cup as if we had won, but hey... We did the best out of all teams that aren't the big four!

Moyes is a great manager.
I can't. Believe. Michael Owen. Signed. With. Manchester United. *ghhhhhhhhhhhhrfhfff*

You can't believe it! I was left in utter shock when I heard it on the news yesterday!

This will go one of two ways...

A. He has the season of his life and nets 20-30 goals

OR

B. He does his cruciate on the first day of training.

I'm leaning towards B.

Don't lean too far! You might hurt yourself ;)
I really don't care if he doesn't play any game at all due to injuries, I hate seeing him in United. And opposite what you might think I don't hate the club. When I first heard the rumour I just shruged. What would a club like United do with him? But a swedish journalist brought up a few points on why United might be the best choice (of the clubs seemingly interested in him. Which Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool didn't seem to be.)

* They got the money.
Owen will of course have a sign on bonus and salary but United aren't poor. They can afford to gamble on him. Somehing most clubs can't at the moment. If he fails completely it won't be that big of deal for a club of Uniteds standard.

* The squad.
You can't have an injury prone player as the big star that is supposed to play every game. He just won't last a whole season. So going to a "smaller" club wouldn't have worked. In United he might not get that many starts even if he keeps fit. Which will be good for his body.

* The skill.
He'll now have teammates that can help him in a new and improved way compared to Newcastle. Since Owen have lost his speed he's now much more dependent on his teammates. Now is the time to see if better teammates is enough to improve his game or if he'll stay being average at best. If he gets the chance that is.

What is interesting though is that it seems Feguson didn't contact Owen until it was clear that Benzema wouldn't join the club. Is this his back-up plan? If so, it sure seems like a big gamle. But of course it wouldn't surprise me if he actually manages to keep fit and do a good job. I like being a pessimist. 😉

But one thing's for sure (which it already was but a gloryfull return could have changed that) and that's that Fowler always will be a much bigger Liverpoolhero than Owen.

Im getting worried for arsenal first Real Madrid wanted Fabregas now Barcelona want him and he wants to return to spain. I hope we don't lose him.

I can't believe Owen chose United over Hull City. What a ludicrous decision!? 😛

I'm very suprised that Owen went to Man Ure...

Lucho has been sold to marseille from Porto for roughly between 18-24 million euros. I am so pissed off its not funny, our star player, hes gone to a crapper team (no offence) a worse league, we didnt NEED to sell and realistically we could have challenged for the CL this year. Theres also talk of Lyon buying Lisandro and Cissokho 9who was going to Milan until that brokedown). The money that we make off transfers goes straight into the directors pocket, im sick of the corruption and all this bullshit.

Do you guys think Real Madrid will get Ribery?

It looks like the only place he wants to go if hes leaves Bayern. So if not this season maybe next season.

Rangers fan here, not worth saying much about new players, we are skint. But champions league football this season 🙂

Have to say, the new rangers kit is appalling, it looks like my local leagues u/12 kit. 🙁

You are totally right, you've changed my mind! 😀

In other news i feel so sorry for Shevchenko, he was the worlds best striker and now look at him, apparently Chelsea want to sell him to Fenerbahce for 7 million.

It's easy to say now but such a huge mistake to leave Milan. He's never recovored from that. And Considering his age and how he's performed lately (3 years) I'd say that 7 million seems like a bit much. But he's one of my favourite players so I hope he gets sold somewhere and can regain some of his old form.

Shevchenko used to be awesome but for some reason chelsea never worked out for him.

7 million is a bit steep considering his last 2/3 years havent gone so well.

Jose Mourinho never wanted him, but Roman Abramovich still bought him anyway... its such a shame, I'm a Chelsea supporter and I hated to see players get ruined at the club, we'd be another Real Madrid 😛

Swede (yes of course I had to mention that 😉) Zlatan Ibrahimovic is rumoured being signed by Barcelona for €40 (£34.4/$56) million + Samuel Eto'o and Alexander Hleb (possibly loan). I'm torn about this if it happens. Going to Barcelona would give him a better chance of winning the champions league and I wouldn't be sad if he managed that before he ends his career but since my favourite team in Spain is Real Madrid it would hurt to see him in Barcelona. And the question is how he will fit in. Barcelona plays a fast game and that isn't Zlatan's strong point and he's used to (and seems to enjoy) be the big star which most things are build upon and he won't that in Barcelona. But on the other hand if he just gets in the box I'm sure he'll score tons of goals with the chances the other playes will create for him as long as he can adapt. And with him Barcelona will finally have a targetplayer which means that for the first time in a long while they'll be able to change style of play if the usual style doesn't work. Something Barcelona certainly have suffered from before. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it goes. Since the transfer isn't confirmed yet. This is silly season after all. 😛

And it seems that Alonso will leave Liverpool for Real Madrid. That would be close to disaster for Liverpool. He was the main reason to why we finally challenged for the premiership title last season despite Gerrard and Torres missing more than a few games. Very bad if it happens. But in a way pretty ironic since Rafa wanted to sell him last year. But now he can't buy Barry as replacement as he wanted.

I've joined. I wonder how many times I'll change the team before we start. It's still very early. But for now it'll have to do.
