For All Bangels and Spuffies

I imagine, providing the characters are the same, I would still lurrrve Bangel, am having serious difficulty imagining it tho, besides I love spike as a moron, totally off topic, but I was just remembering that ep where he was a nazi......

he wasnt a nazi you guys. in that episode (on angel) Angel says something like "Youre a nazi now" and Spike says something to the effect of "Naw, i just liked his coat"

Assuming that the actors were able to portray each other's characters in the same way, I'd still be a Spuffy.
Not because Angel was all that horrible, I like him, in his own way.
But, I LOVE Spike's character and how he came across and I also liked Buffy's evolution from S4-S7.
I did NOT like her in highschool nor did I like her whiney shallow, highschool like relationship with Angel. It was fine for the time, but by S4, especially when she'd show up on Angel, I just wanted to hit her with something large and tell her to get over it.

Re:

Interesting question. I think it's the Creator that makes the ship. I am a multi-shipper. I love Cangle, Cander, Xanya, Bangle, Spuffy, Tillow, Woz, Fuffy, and I even support Briley. It's not the actors that makes me the fan that I am, although terrible acting would have been a HUGE turn off. It's the creation, Joss's creation. The humor, the drama, the intensity, the sarcasm, the gut-wrenching love....every ship reflects all of these things. It's groovy baby, yeah. And I think that the reason I dig so many ships is because I love the show as a whole. I guess I'm having a difficult time explaining. But you get the basic idea...

theyre both dreamy in my eyes =D hehehehe

although im much more for mr marsters! 😀 think id still be a spuffy shipper, cause the character of spike i adore and he came such a long way! although i dont think anyone but james could do him justice 😛

Yeah.. .I'd still be shipping Spuffy, even though DB played Spike... I like Spike's character... Although James would be hell attractive! I'm just happy that James is Spike. Cos it's a match made in heaven!

I would definitely still love the characters, but honestly I don't think they could have played the others' roles. There's a reason they were each cast in those roles: the moment they got into character, they owned the role. I, for one, can hardly stand James Marsters out of character, but in "Buffy" and "Smallville", he's delicious. As for David, I just love him. LOL

Such a good question! I'd been thinking about this before about a couple of months when I was into Buffy, but nobody's ever asked me this before.

*claps* My opinion is very much the same as this one. I'd still be a Spuffy shipper, even if the roles were in reverse. I don't like Spike as a character just because of James Marsters's portrayal of him, I like Spike because of how he changed from being bad boy to comic relief to being a better man for Buffy. While I was a Bangel shipper at first, (because isn't everyone at first?) their relationship started to get really annoying for me during season 3, and by the time that she went on over to Angel it was just sort of irritating to me. I think that this is because Buffy and Angel's relationship is really the type that's a high-school sweetheart kind of thing and that it was really a first love thing.

Have to say that no, I was never a Bangel shipper - it's always been Spuffy for me, even before I'd ever seen the whole of Buffy I always thought that she and Spike would make a cute couple.
