For the fans that watched the seasons of ANGEL before you watched Buffy. I would love to know what you thought of Angel in the first 3 seasons of Buffy after seeing him for 5 seasons of ANGEL.

What did you think about his character? Did you find it weird with him not being the main star? How'd you feel about the way he acted? Dressed? The way he seemed much weaker? I want to know everything that ran through your mind while watching him in Buffy :3

I watched Angel first and I only watched Buffy to see see Cordelia and Angel pre-LA and Faith's storyline.

What did you think about his character? I thought he was boring. I love him so much more on his on show.
Did you find it weird with him not being the main star? Not really because I knew it was about Buffy lol.
How'd you feel about the way he acted? Dressed? The way he seemed much weaker? His acting in some episodes is just soooo bad but most of the time he was bearable. Except he wore way too much eye shadow.

I watched half the first season of Angel before Buffy, and Angel seemed not exactly weaker to me in Buffy, but more serious. It bugged me. I had grown used to an Angel who could balance work and play, not one who was all mysterious messenger, then mysterious boyfriend.

I'll tell you one thing, if Angel was how he was on Angel on Buffy, I would NOT be Spuffy.

What really got me on Angel was Buffy herself. She breezed into the show on the episode where Angel turned human, and I seriously fell in love with her. I was not disappointed by her on her own show, either, which was nice. I think I can say if my friend had not forced me to watch Angel episodes in a marathon that night, I would never have watched Buffy.

I agree completely. It's insane how different he is in Angel compared to BTVS! He seems so much more relaxed around Cordy than he was with Buffy too. Much happier, and much more free. But I guess that's because he probably always felt his relationship with B was going to be difficult, and inevitably going to end.

I'd seen the first series of Buffy a long time ago, but I watched all of Angel before I started properly on Buffy, so it was much harder for me to understand their relationship. Angel did seem A LOT weaker, I kinda wanted to shake him up and make him less mysterious XD!
