I just got done rewatching this episode. I always cry so hard at the end. When Buffy says "I have to do these things because when I stop, she's really gone!" it rips through me like a knife. It's so heartbreaking and when the Summers sisters embrace and fall to the floor crying, it's the most beautiful Buffy/Dawn moment of the series for me. 🙂

I love this episode. Especially the last scene where Buffy says: Because when I stop then she's really gone and Buffy and Dawn embrace and fall crying on the floor. One of the most beautiful moments of Buffy

This is in my top 3 episodes of the series. The moment at the end being my favorite moment of the series. I just feel like this episode was such a defining moment for the two sisters that really solidified their roles in each other's lives.

And on a different note, this is just another episode that makes me love Dawn.

I always think of Stephen King's Pet Sematary when I see this episode. Bringing someone back from the dead, that just isn't quite the same anymore...

Dawn also seems a bit unreasonable to me. I get that she isn't thinking clearly and desperately wants her mom back, but still.
Bringing someone back from the dead just doesn't sounds like a good idea and somehow I wish that even Dawn would realize that.
If this episode was in season 6 or later I would have more understanding of her thinking though.

But the ending with Dawn and Buffy is the most heartbreaking moment in the entire series. It gets to me much more than anything in the Body actually.

I find it completely weird that Angel showed up. How did he know? *stalker guy*
But it was a nice episode. Entirely because of the fact that it wasn't a murder. Joyce just...died. Maybe not of old age, but she died like many other humans die. And for Buffy it was hard, because there was noone to take revenge out on, noone to beat the life out of. There was no crime, and Buffy isn't used to that.

This is so wierd because i watched this episode last night. When season 5 originally came on for some reason i had stopped watching after season 4 and didnt start again until the finale of season 5, so i missed when Joyce died. This was really really sad for me, it kinda hit close to home except my mother actually came out of her brain surgery just fine. but it was just sad, the who situation.

I watched this today.
I think the saddest parts are when Buffy says "When I stop then she's really gone." and of course when they fall down sobbing.
Such a good episode though.
