Hello all! I'm a sometimes forum browser but an always Buffy viewer. I'm a fan of the comics as well and I'm in the process of completing my collection 😀 I'm always doing a casual rewatch of the series and I skip around, season to season, like a wild animal. Season Six is my all-time favorite & OMWF is my all-time favorite episode. I also love Season Five and recently Season Four. Other favorite episodes include Chosen, Doublemeat Palace (& I won't apologize for it!), Anne, Tabula Rasa, Hush, The Gift, Smashed, Graduation Day, Part 2, Fear, Itself, Dracula, Something Blue and Him. I've been watching since I was in middle school when Buffy aired on TV. I recorded OMWF on a VHS tape and watched Spike's breakaway pop hit "Rest in Peace" more times than I'd like to admit. I used to patrol my neighborhood with a cross way back in 1998 after binging all the videos of season one rented from Blockbuster. I've never been able to really get into the Angel series, however. I've tried starting from the beginning but can't get through season one. I've only seen a handful of episodes. Ultimate goals include owning a Nintendo game cube plus a copy of the game Buffy: Chaos Bleeds. I'm a firm believer in Buffy + Spike and while they are my two favorite characters I also love Xander, Tara, Andrew, and D'Hoffryn. Faith is a guilty pleasure, too. I've also have a soft spot for Anya. Happy to be here and have access to all the boards chock-full of knowledge, a waterfall of Buffy info and I'm swimming in it.
 
Hi and welcome to the boards ! You have exceptional good taste 🙂 I love Spike and Spuffy and season 6 too. I also like Xander, Tara, Anya and Faith. I never tried patroling though, but you clearly gave me something to think about there.

You should try Angel season5. It has Spike in it and I love it. It is the only Angel season I have watched so far.

There is a subforum called the Back Steps, especially for Spuffy fans. I am looking forward to seeing you there. And on the main board as well, of course.

I am also a big fan of the comics, and absolutely loved the end of Season 11. Do you have a favourite comic arc and how do you feel about Buffy's fake pregnancy? 🙂
 
Welcome to the boards! You will find a lot of people here with the same taste as yours and extra points for having d'Hoffryn as one of your favourite characters. Remember, when you are arguing a point on the boards, "Never go for the kill when you can go for the pain".

I'm so glad you recommended a season of Angel I'd like, I so appreciate it! As soon as I pull myself out of my rewatch/fan fiction frenzy I'll be checking it out!

Technology may have advanced but we made do with what we had!!! I also used to scour Blockbuster for Buffy magazines. Gold!

I am having trouble emotionally connecting with the comics. That being said I do enjoy Spike and his new spaceship. The pregnancy storyline threw me for a loop. On one hand I love anything Spuffy and in that vein I want anything that brings them together in the series. Her pregnancy did seem so weird though and the explanation felt much more real and "true" if that makes sense. I'm just patiently waiting for them to have a happy bliss time. Season 7 wasn't enough! I need more.

Lol, I think I'm the only person who loved the pregnancy story and I loved how Spike handled it. The comics aren't for everyone and they are a totally different medium and it took me time to get used to them, but now I love them. I'd be really disappointed if we don't get a S12. If you haven't got to S11, stick with them and you'll get that happy 😀
 
For fanfiction The Writing on the Wall is the best I've ever read. It's Spuffy based, adult, and takes place at the end of season 7 yet doesn't disturb canon. An addition of a very whedon-esque feeling new character is a real accomplishment. Also, I'll stick with the comics then and I look forward to where they're leading!!
