LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Those who are aniticpating watching Eliza Dushku jump back and forth in time this fall will have to wait longer than they thought.
FOX, which is making a habit of filling out its schedules in pencil, has decided to delay the second season of "Tru Calling," which stars Dushku as a medical student/morgue attendant who has the ability to go back in time to prevent untimely deaths. Originally slated to premiere Thursday, Nov. 4, the show will now debut "later in the season," the network says.

The non-specific time frame is usually not a good sign for a show. A FOX spokesman says, however, that "Tru" is in production, which is better news.
Instead of "Tru Calling," FOX will place "North Shore" in the 9 p.m. Thursday spot after baseball's World Series concludes, pairing with "The O.C." for an all-soap lineup. The FOX spokesman says that the move is intended to build momentum on "North Shore" -- which will have the benefit of a decent lead-in in "The O.C." -- after Shannen Doherty joins the cast in late September.
Unscripted offering "Trading Spouses" will move into "North Shore's" 8 p.m. Monday spot beginning Nov. 1, where it will lead into "The Swan."

Everything is falling apart 🙁 So basicly their saying that their moving the show to the middle of the season?
 
The ONE show I was looking forward too, with both Buffy and Angel gone. WTF!!!!

Anywho they really dont seem to want to show S2 do they?
 
No, but since they'd given the go ahead for a new season, Fox are contractually obliged to do at least 6 episodes... Wonder what the cast and crew think of being fecked around so badly? After all, now they're going to be stranded in the middle of the TV year with Fox to thank...
 
Help Save Tru Calling

Well i'm sure you guys all know that the second season Tru Calling has been pushed back and cut to 6 episodes. Well we all know that if we don't do anything this means that Tru Calling will end up getting cancelled soon. We got Tru Calling a second season and now we got to help it get back it's time slot and help it not get cancelled. This is what you can do to help:

Something that is also crucial to Tru Calling getting back the time slot of Thursday at 9 after The O.C. is the DVD sales of the first season of Tru Calling. Currently at Amazon.com, it is ranking at 1,069 and to make some sort of record it should at least be in the top 200 so start pre-ordering your First Season of Tru Calling at:

This really, really made a huge impression at the WB with Angel. I talked to the WB's spokeshole Keith Marder right after it happened and he said they couldn't believe it. The flowers kept pouring in. They received over 120 bouquets of flowers from Angel fans. The WB was blown over. Hopefully the same can happen at fox.

If you can't sent flowers by Monday, just send them when you can. UPN got very pissed off at the Firefly fans for filling their offices with flowers they didn't know what to do with so a constant stream is just as good as 100 at once.


Another thing I really want to do is send something to the crew. They're all loosing their jobs and it'd be nice for the fans to do something special for them before they wrap.

The Angel's Food Drive campaign set cakes to the set of Angel (and also the Firefly movie). This was a huge hit with the Angel crew.

I can't believe this its so unfair, I've put a link to the support tru site in my sig on all other message boards i go onto.
 
I know that through the support tru site they are sending flowers to the FOX President Gail Berman. Its rumoured that they are pitching the show to other networks but I can't find a source so rumor just now.

I had looked at sending so flowers to join in the campaign but they are quite expensive, and thought this might deter some people who don't have much money etc. What do you think of setting up a group effort and sending them in with our usernames?
 
I think that's a wonderful idea. Wouldn't cost people alot of money, and the more people, the better. Also, at least we can say we tried. I am very passionate about this show continuing and am absolutely willing to make an effort to keep it on the air.

Count me in. 😀
 
They do this kinda of thing to the best shows.

Buffy, Angel, Friends. This was gonna be the show I would actually totally enjoy. FOX is so evil.
