Fox Loses O.C Encores

Tonight's scheduled encore of FOX's "The O.C." will be the last scheduled for a while according to a network press release.

FOX had previously announced that the broadcast premiere of "Dr. Dolittle 2" would pre-empt next week's (November 27) encore. And now in a revision to its December 4 schedule, a repeat of the special "Funniest Wedding Outtakes" will fill the Thursday, 9:00/8:00c hour that night. The news was announced in an update to FOX's weekly primetime listings which included the note: "Encore episodes of THE O.C. are no longer scheduled to air Thursdays at 9:00pm until further notice."

Meanwhile, FOX has also bumped its planned back-to-back airings of "Wanda at Large" on December 5 in favor of the special "TV's Naughtiest Blunders from Around the World #1." The news means "Wanda" will be off FOX's schedule for the fourth straight week. "Boston Public" however will air as normal that Friday at 9:00/8:00c.
 
Man! That's the only way I get to watch the OC....the encores...If only I wasn't in love with Angel
 
I really wish they would show the encores on a day that isn't Thursday. I was really liking this show in the summer and I was not at all happy when they brought it back opposite Angel, which is my favorite show on TV. My Wednesday and Thursday nights are pretty much locked up with Smallville, Angel, Tru Calling, CSI and ER, but I don't really watch any shows the rest of the week. I have the NHL Center Ice package to keep me busy the other nights but I would sacrifice an hour of hockey to watch The OC.
 
I watch The OC during its normal time and I also watch the encore, lol. Thats how much I Love it. I am going to miss watching the encores. 😀
 
eh not too big a change in my tv watching life as i got TIVO 😀 lucky me lol, but thats too bad to all the other fans who only got to watch it then
 
preempting The O.C. for a dumbass movie like Dr. Doolittle?? bumping "Wanda at Large" for some tired retread reality show?

Fox ALWAYS manages to screw itself....instead of showing the shows WORTH watching...it thinks its viewers want to watch "wedding outakes" and crap like that...as if anyone CARES about someone else's wedding blunders lol.
