A French Mayor Is Refusing to Overturn His Town's Bizarre Ban on Aliens

If you happen to be an alien life-form looking for a great place to vacation, you’re going to have to cross Châteauneuf-du-Pape in France off of your list, because it has an active ban on extraterrestrials.

The ban has been in place for 62 years now, and the current mayor, Claude Avril, refuses to overturn it, despite admitting that it's little more than a publicity stunt.

I guess that's one way of looking at it but they are still carrying a disease that most Canadians would rather not get. The cost of isolating them from the rest of society and creating a vacinne for the unaflicted is probably too high for a small population like ours to manage. Also the trend towards inclusion vs isolation would probably have many trying to defend zombie rights to gather in large public groups and I just don't see that ending well.

I think this is very forward thinking of this French town. Aliens will arrive one day, and this town is already prepared, which is pretty admiral. I am hoping they have weapons stashed in bunkers and lots of silver foil hats.
