...has done a lot of IDW Angel work, but what I'm most concerned about is his After the Fall run (seeing as this is a forum for AtF and all). And really it's almost the same story in all of his work.
I love Franco Urru's art. I think it is absolutely gorgeous and really catches the feel of the tv show. When I think of Angel (and Spike) I now think of Urru.
That being said, either:
a) he has a serious problem staying on a project for a prolonged period of time, or
b) IDW and Franco Urru do not get along, even though the fans love him (do they love him, or is it just me?).
Let's split AtF into 4 sections:
AtF Pt. 1- Urru draws everything. The book is phenomenal.
AtF: First Night- Various artist. Urru's all good.
AtF Pt. 3- Who the **** is Nick Runge and why did Urru leave? I truly believe that if Urru had stayed on AtF, Whedon would've never left (well.. maybe), Angel would've had an actual good 40+ issue run, it would've won a lot of awards, and the franchise would still be in IDW's hands.
AtF Pt. 4- Urru does 3 of the 5 issues, so... there's that I guess. But once again who is this Stephen Mooney? He's got nothing on Urru, and he knows it.
Does anyone have the slightest sliver of an idea about why the artists changed up?
EDIT: Uh, no need to answer the poll... I just enjoy making them... 🙂
