Fray weapon connection to Buffy season 7 weapon

I dont read it but It looks like the Scythe..or however you spell it.

What Is Fray about? and can you buy it in the UK?

Fray is a comic writen by joss, if im not mestaken. yep that is the scythe that was on buffy. i heard that joss wanted to use the scythe in the series. not only the strip.... i am saying most of this with utter most unsertainty ::huh1:: lol

Okay, here goes the "Fray" explanation. Fray takes place a hundred some odd years in the future after Slayer and her mystical friends (Buffy and The Scoobs?????) brought peace to the world by destroying all evil. All other demons left this dimension or became peaceful and live among the humans. Other girls were called after this, but there was no need for them. Fray is supposed to be the latest incarnation of the slayer. So anyways, apparently for some reasons the demons and vampires rise again and Fray must fight them. She is bestowed a weapon (The Scythe) that the legendary slayer who stopped the evil used.

That is a loose translation, I never read the comic, but have heard alot about it. So to answer the question, The Scythe from Season 7 and Fraye are supposed to be one in the same.

Ummmm, I believe that's just a contuity problem. Joss wrote Fraye a few years back and probably didn't know he was going to give all the potentials power. So Fray isn't exactly in "Buffy Contuity" right now. But you never know, they might come up with an explanation.

that souds interesting, maybe i'll read it sometime. Do they ever talk about buffy in the comics?

Or, it was the story of just one of them, and she was more special than the others for whatever reason. Because if everyone had superpowers, wouldn't it be fairly normal in the world? Wouldn't you be different because you understand that it's not that normal, so you want to make a difference?

From what I know they do not refer to Buffy by name, they just say that the slayer that destroyed the evil in the world wielded that weapon. I'm assuming that it's supposed to be Buffy, but it really could be any slayer that was there when the hellmouth was destroyed. Nobody said that Buffy was the one who ultimately ended up with the Scythe in the end of the battle, she could have given it to Faith or Vi or Kennedy or even Dawn. Just another plot hole between mythologies.

I've known about Fray for a long time and wondered can you buy it in the UK?

[after Slayer and her mystical friends (Buffy and The Scoobs??) brought peace to the world by destroying all evil.]

How is that even possible? Why would Whedon create a background like that?
