The cover pictures for Issues #16 and 17 of Buffy Season 8 just got me to thinking: If this were still the TV show, who do you think would be the person th play the part of Fray? I think Kristin Kruek, who plays Lana Lang on "Smallville" would be perfect. Her bio even says that she has "extensive training" in gymnastics and the martial arts, which would be a plus in playing the character.

Kristin Kruek, eh? Well, she could do it physically, and certainly has the acting chops, but do ya think she may look too exotic?

What do you think about actress Nikki Reed? I was always partial to Thora Birch myself, but she's too old for the role now.

To me, Nikki looks too glamorous and Thora seems too fragile. As for Kristin looking too exotic, who's to say what folks'll look like in a few hundred years? But then that's the beauty of the whole exercise. Until and unless Joss decides to actually cast the parts, your opinion is just as good as mine.
