I was so crushed when she died! Why Fred? I loved Fred, she was so sweet and cute yet tough and powerful. I cried when she died, I was so sad. I cant believe that she could survive in Pylea but couldn't rid herself of Illyria. When Illyria turned into Fred those few times, i cried again. I just loved Fred, from the moment they found her in Pylea I loved her! Anyone else with me on this?
 
I really liked Fred too. I loved her pretty much in fact... I didn't like how she chose Gunn over Wes, because.. well, I'm like Wes... so pick me!!!!! Anyhow, her death was pretty disturbing, though Illyria was great. However harsh her death may have been, she had one of the most memorable on the whole show.


It's a pitty though, that one side to Fred has never been explored:

Illyria wasn't my favorite but she was tolerable. I love Wesley, he's exactly what I want someday.(I love the geeks and the nerds...cuz I kinda am one) Illyria was kinda annoying, she was all "im better than you becuz I'm a demon and blah blah blah" but she had her funny moments.

Illyria wasn't my favorite person, either, because of what she did to Fred, altho I've said before that it wasn't entirely her fault (Knox, otoh, can kiss my A$$!) She was way better after they took her powers away. I loved that scene in the hallway with her and Spike, "Not that you need any creature's attention." LOL! The look on her face was priceless, but she didn't have a comeback for it!

hahah Fred could do better than HARMONY! (I do love Harm, but seriously anyone could do better)

anyway... Uh, I loved Fred... but seriously I liked illyria more.
 
I hated Knox as well, I never really did like him cuz he came between Wes and Fred a lil but once I found out he was the one that killed Fred, I was putting curses on him. He pissed me off so bad!

Here we are again, back to the hate! LOL! I'm sorry I brought him up. I understand what you mean, tho......if looks could kill, Knox would definitely be 12 feet under by now.

I don't think he'd be 12 feet under, I think by now'd be entering the Earth's core.

I meant *my* looks would have killed him before Wes had a chance to. The idiot, how could anyone want to do that to Fred?! And his lame excuses got on my nerves, too......he did it because she was "worthy..." WHATever!
 
Heh, I'm stepping away from all the hate for a while and just agrees with the Fred love. She was so sweet and she's my favorite Angel character, I find her whole character development fascinating. And even if Illyria was the thing that killed her I do like her too, would like to have seen more of her though as I think Joss intened to but cancellation of the show got in between.. And Knox has never been on my liking list, disliked him for getting between Fred and Wesley and so, 'cause I always wanted them together.

Seriously, the guy is evil for killing lovely characters, but gah I love him for letting Wesley/Fred have a "happy ending" (happy, as in not letting them break up and be all miserable, at least they got to be in love until the end.. right?).. And uh, just have to add I hate Wes' death just as much as Fred's.. But I like the two of them in love until death a lot more than them breaking up.. And let's face it, Joss doesn't let happy couples stay alive and in love.. it's either this or that, and honestly I prefer it this way, since it was in the end of the show..

I'm with you on this one - that last scene between Wes and "Fred" was worth the entire Illyria-arc.
I can't help but feel sorry for Knox. Ok so he was a total creep who more than deserved to die. But he dedicated his whole life to Illyria, he thought he was going to be second in command to the ruler of the world. Instead he gets killed moments after he finally resurrects her.

As for all this Knox hatred, I hope it's the intended type of hatred. Knox was a great character and I thought he brought a lot to the season.

And as much as I loved Fred, Illyria is awesome! Some credit to him for that.
 
I really loved Fred.I got so sad when she died.I've always liked her ever since the beginning to the end.I liked Illyria but it just tore me up when she would transform into Fred.I wish there would've been a way for both of them to be part of the show.
 
I loved Fred but I liked Illyria too. What if Fred wouldn't died and someone else, like Harmony would died and Illyria would take her shell? Hmm.. Not good idea. I think that Joss did great work, but I'm still sad because of Fred's dead.
 
Haha. 😀 Ok, now I'm more than glad that it was Fred.
Allycat, you're right. It was a great idea, but Fred was so lovely. <3 ^^
