Yes, she did. It was in Japan. Everything was on Japanese, LOL. She also had a problem with their toilets. And we all know they have some weird stuff. Their stove is not an ordinary stove we know 😀

On the other hand, I've managed to burn down the kitchen with an ordinary stove.

I spent 2 weeks in Japan and found their toilets unbelievably high-tech. And in the places you least expect them: Tolled-expressway rest stops. I thkn the road toll pays for the toilets.

1: 大 (big) causes to a large flush for soilds.
2: 小 (small) causes a small flush for liquids.
3: Lowers the lid and closes the seat
4: Lowers the seat and raises the lid
5: Raises both the lid and the seat

7: おしり(Bottoms): Regular bottom wash

16: Increase seat temperature

This is the most advanced, and the most popular model on highway rest stops, especially in handicapped toilets.

Non-handicapped toilets would then fall into two categories: Nearer the city and further away.

Nearer the city areas, you'll find this common:

Stop (止): Stops all operations

Bottom (おしり): Washing of the bottom
Gentle (やわらが): Gentle washing of the bottom
Move On/Off (ムーブ （入/切）): Rotates the nozzle sideways back and forth.
Massage On/Off (マッサージ (入/切)): Cyclic increase in the nozzle pressure for a masage of the bottom.

Bidet (ビデ): Female-use wash.
Move On/Off (ムーブ (入/切)) Move: Rotates the nozzle sideways back and forth.
Dry (乾燥: kansou): Blow dryer for drying the bottom

Water strength (水勢): Increase the water pressure with the top button (強) and decrease the pressure with the bottom button (弱)
Nozzle (ノズル: nozuru): Move the nozzle slightly forward with the top button (前) and backward with the bottom button (後)

Key point to note: Usually, for the 38-button unit, a cover will hide buttons 13-38. So all you see are the flush buttons at the top edge, the lid buttons, and the largest round buttons - which have pictures, so it's less complex.

Though the bottom one has something the rest doesn't: ENGLISH! 😛
