I seasrched for a threa like this and couldnt find one soo....

I was reading through wikipedia and I found this lil snippet of info

She defends Spike, whom she refers to as her pet, when Angel attempts to attack him. She later battles Angel and his trained dragon. She is assisting in the rescue of innocent humans from the hell-infested city of Los Angeles. While Spike said he is the Lord of the area, it is Illyria who acts as the Lord of Beverly Hills, ensuring protection to the city, from the fact that the other Lords are too scared to attack her. She appears to have regained some of her former powers, as time became erratic during her fight with Angel in issue 3 and when Spider and Spike were talking in issue 4. In issue 5, Spike informs Angel that something is "wrong" with Illyria and hoped that he could help her. What exactly is wrong with her is revealed at the end of the issue, with Illyria transforming into Fred when she sees Wesley. In issue 6, it is revealed that Fred and Illyria have both been active in the same body since the advent of LA being sent to hell, and in issue 9, Fred and Illyria transform into each other multiple times in Wesley's presence. When the group returns to the Hyperion, Illyria reveals to the others that Angel is no longer a vampire.

Okay, maybe not that little, but I was wondering, does this mean that freds soul wasnt burned up? how does that work?

OMG, I am so confused! It said "in Wesley's presence" so what? Is Wesley dead or what? Lost muc.

OMG. Okay, I HAVE to figur out a way to read the comics. So Fredsort of exists and sort of not, and Wes is a ghost? So there is a possible Fred/Wes reestablisment of sorts. What about Gunn?

The whole cand in L.A

the deceased Wesley is now an incorporeal representative of Wolfram & Hart

Gunn Wakes up to find that he has been sired

The second 'First Night' issue initially focuses on Wesley's after-death awareness, including a visit from an unnamed female temptress who is acting on the Senior Partners' behalf. She pretends to be Fred, but Wesley is not fooled

Okay, so like you said, if Fred's soul burnt up, how is she joined with Illyria? It doesn't make sense to me, either. I need to read the comics, I guess. That or just read the spoilers on Wikipeidia, but im sure I'll enjoy the comics much better.

What about Spike?

And what's this in the snipit you posted about Angel no longer being a vampire?

OMG, does Joss write these, because if he does, he's nuts! Though, Mr. Whedon's craziness has always been the sellling point for his work, hasn't it?

Writer(s): Brian Lynch with Joss Whedon - its him, and yes, he's nuts

spike: Angel realizes who the person is and heads to Beverly Hills, where he reunites with Spike, who has become lord of the area and lives surrounded by harem of humans and demons. Angel and Spike fight briefly, and Illyria appears in defense of Spike

Wow, this is madness. I must find these comics and find a way to read them. My vision makes it hard, but I'll do what I can. Illyria kind of irritates me, but it she is sharing the body with Fred. are they in battle for it, or is it just shring? Eventually, this will get very complicated, of course, and it will be like an inner war between them.

Do you have glasses?

I'm honestly very confused by this, but i'll get the comics and see what I can discover....if it is and inner struggel, I hope fred wins.

I do, but they don't help. I am legally blind, so things get complicated. Befre you ask, I can see some, just not very well Comics are hard.

Yeah, I hope Fred wins and that Wesley is somehow made corporeal again, nd then we can see where that relationship would have gone.

Thanks.

I wonder how Wesley is reacting to this whole Fred/Illyria ordeal It must be reall unpleasant for him to see Fred like that, and also confusing, too. Poor Wesley. No one can cut him a break.

It seems that when a demon takes over some part of the human is left. Look at the vampire demons. Hell could be amping up the human of Illyria

the deceased Wesley is now an incorporeal representative of Wolfram & Hart

I haven't read the comics, so forgive me BUT can I just say....HAHA

When I wrote a fanfic some years ago now ON THIS BOARD people questioned me and mosked me when I wrote that Wesley was bound, thus could manipulate, the standard perpetuity clause and here we go, suggestion being not 100% off the mark.

Vindicated much!!!

This isn't anything new. Illyria changed back into Fred in season 5 "The Girl In Question". I believe that the problem is that Illyria is regaining some of her/his power that Angel removed in "Time Bomb". Which explained why Spike went to Angel for help.

Also in Spike: After the Fall - there is a strong, strong indication that there is no 'Fred' left in Illyria and the whole Fred thing is because Illyria wants (for some reason) to be human...

*my banner below is inspired by that and quotes the comic
