Free online: Buffy/Guild & Star Wars/Serenity Free Comic Day

Thanks, I didn't have a chance to pick up a physical copy. Is it possible to download the comic or can you only read it online?

I heard that in this case(I'm waiting for a reply from Dark Horse) you can only read it in a web browser until the end of May. Usually, you can download their comics to apps for android tablets and phones and iphones and ipads.

I've tried to download it, with only negative results, but I'm sure that there's some computer whiz out there who will find a way. Probably illegal though, in any case.

-Update:

I checked with darkhorse and we can read it and download it like any other comics in their store, it won't be taken down.

Download as in download to a app, that is.

Oh, that is good news. As long as it isn't taken down I guess I don't really need to download it. Thank you. 🙂

Are you sure? Because the official words are

If you missed out on picking up your Free Comic Book Day comics at your local comic-book store, you can get them from Dark Horse Digital for a limited time!

That's so weird. i'll contact customer service again.
I'm downloading them to my iPhone app right now. I don't think they take stuff down once you download it. Also for those of you who missed that free pre-season 9 Spike one-shot last summer, it's available to download from DH too.

This is the answer I got:

"I'm not sure what the person who wrote that had in mind, but we have no plan to remove those comics from the site. Even if we did, though, they would remain in the collections of everyone who 'purchased' them."

I hope he's right.
