'friends' talking behing your back

Today I learned that apparently, 2 of my housemates are gossiping about pretty much everyone else in the house. I knew they were like that, but today one girl told me what exactly they said about me. Apparently, I'm a slut, I can't cook and my food smells really bad, I'm fatter than one of the girls (who has a muffin top...which I don't have) and my friends are really ugly and horrible. Honestly, I don't know what to do. I considered these 2 girls friends and by what I heard now, I don't ever wanna see either of them again. It's gonna cause drama for sure cos one of them already said she'd move out if anyone told me what they said about me (apparently they all had a great debate about the food I eat in which other people were defending me and the 2 of them were basically being bitches).

I'm not sure what to do next. Since they used to be my firends, I considered confronting them. But woudl that really do any good or more harm? Keep in mind I still ahve to live with these people!

Has anyone ever been in a situation like this? Would you do? Cos I'm really clueless how to handle this...

I've never been in that situation but we can play some chess here

1. Save up and Focus on moving whether it will be alone or with other roomates
2. Don't tell them and use them right now for whatever you can (obviously for living situation right now)
3. Cook everytime you get since they hate it so much...embrace thier frustration 😛
4. Keep your head up cause who is anybody to judge you or call you slut or whatever else
5. Once you've moved on don't look back cause they aren't true friends

Yeah I'm currently in quite a similar situation, I don't get on with my flatmate anymore. I confronted her once, but it didn't really do much good, it depends how you go about it. If there's you vs. several people I wouldn't do it like that, perhaps one on one, but tbh it'll probably give them more ammo to bitch about you.

I'd just rise above it, be civil to people and hang out with your other friends. Feel free to PM me if you want me to go into the specifics of my situation 🙂

Unless you want to move out, I think you should have a house meeting and call them out. Say, right in front of the girl who told you, "____ told me you've been saying this and that, and I wanted to get everything out in the open so we can talk about how we can get past this so we can keep living together." In all good adult friendships and relationships, communication is key. You need to find out if this chick is lying just to start trouble or if the others are really as bitchy as she said they are. Either way, I'd say you're going to need to cut some ties with some people.
