I know this season is coming to a close, but I just read this article, and it makes me love Fringe all over again:
20 Things We Love About Fringe
sfx at 05:00am April 24 2012

Jayne Nelson (the one from this universe, not her alternate twin) explains why Fringe Division is the best in its league"¦

It's the show that plays fast and loose with the laws of physics, the laws of gravity and just about every other scientific law there is. Professor Brian Cox would not approve. But if you take off your lab coat, put your feet up on the sofa and forget scientific accuracy, Fringe is one of the most brilliantly-imagined fantasy dramas to come along in ages "“ it even has parallel universes to choose from!

Also, bittersweet news: Fringe has been renewed, albeit for a final and shortened season:
Fall schedule news: Fox renews Fringe for fifth and final season

by Todd VanDerWerff April 26, 2012

Fox has renewed perennially low-rated science fiction series Fringe for a 13-episode fifth and final season, an order that will, conveniently, bring the series to exactly 100 episodes. That should be a boon to the series' studio, Warner Brothers, as it attempts to sell the show into syndication or a cable rerun deal. The renewal had been expected by most TV industry watchers, and it's also heavily suspected that Warners cut Fox a substantial deal on the show"”which Fox president Kevin Reilly said the network loses money on at January's Television Critics Association press tour"”in order to keep it on the air. The 13 episodes will apparently wrap up the series' ongoing storyline about the conflict between two universes, a storyline that has won the series much fan and critical adoration but has most likely kept it from mass audience appeal.

"Fringe is a remarkably creative series that has set the bar as one of television's most imaginative dramas. Bringing it back for a final 13 allows us to provide the climactic conclusion that its passionate and loyal fans deserve. The amazing work the producers, writers and the incredibly talented cast and crew have delivered the last four seasons has literally been out of this world. Although the end is bittersweet, it's going to be a very exciting final chapter," said Reilly in a statement released by the network.

Overall, I think this season has been weaker than the others, although still enjoyable. I'm looking forward to how they wrap things up.

😵 FRINGE! FRINGE! FRINGE! YES! I thought I was the only one here who liked it, I swear 😵

That list was pretty great, and I agree with most of it. John Noble definitely deserves an Emmy for Walter. He deserves more than one. He is absolutely brilliant in that role.
On a side note, I still haven't decided whose hair I like more, and hey! I like our Olivia as a character and I don't find her boring at all.

I know, me too! Just because someone is understated doesn't mean she's boring, geesh.

Exactly! I find her all the more interesting BECAUSE she's understated.

Also: I really dislike that all the semi original shows get a max of 5 seasons these days. The cop shows or the "I'm not a cop, but I'm gonna act like one anyway!" shows get renewed for 20 years, but when something original comes along, it's only around for a short time now. It sucks 🙁

Yep- Fox has already cancelled a couple of other favorites of mine- Terra Nova and The Chicago Code.
Oh, and I just found out recently that there are some Fringe comic books! Have you read any of them?

I haven't 😵 But I am very intrigued. I might have to look into them. I also heard somewhere that there is supposed to be a season 6 in comic form.

What they said about Olivia was true for me in the beginning. I took my time to warm up to her. Now I've loved her for a long time.

Kean Want to switch universe? 😉

10 Blink And You Miss 'Em Gags

The alternate universe seems very similar to ours, yes, but every time we stop by it's possible to spot something the writers have tweaked.

"¢ There's an ad for the musical Dogs, for instance, instead of Cats.

"¢ Apparently The West Wing never got cancelled.

"¢ Back To The Future starred Eric Stoltz.

"¢ Green Lantern and Green Arrow are Red Lantern and Red Arrow.

"¢ People keep badgers as pets.

"¢ There is no Batman, but their most famous caped Crusader is called Mantis.

"¢ Some US silver dollar coins have the profile of Richard Nixon.

"¢ Sheep become extinct in 2001

"¢ Oh, and Manhattan is spelt with one "t". That one's really freaky"¦

VisionGirl Didn't know about the comics. I'll try and check them out. Good luck finding them in Sweden... Not very fond of reading comics on the computer. Maybe I can buy them. Amazon here I come.

Yep, they're on Amazon
Okay, so I'm searching for new show to watch and I remember watching the first episode and not really liking it. But for Joshua Jackson I'm ready to start again if you guys tell me a bit how it is. Is it scary???? Because I can handle Scream (1 to 3)-scary, but not Friday the 13th scary.....

I watched the first season s I can only speak for that. There was one episode I remember as being spooky. Think early episodes of Supernatural. That level of scary and it was just the one episode.

Okay, early SPN I can take (I love them so I should be ok 😉 ) Because I kinda remember the first (and only) episode I watched was kinda weird and.... disgusting??? (it was a while ago)

Soon. They're on their way. 🙂

Weird most definitely. It can take a little time to really get into it. It's worth it though. In my opinion. Not like everyones taste is the same. As for scary it reminds me most about The X-files. Granted it was a very long time I watched that show so maybe I'm way off base.

I would say that it's X-Files scar, maybe a bit more graphic. But Walter will soon have you all chuckling at the gross stuff. 😀

I've watched the first 6 episodes and Walter is just hilarious!

I like it, despite the reccuring disgusting factor 😉

And Joshua Jackson is still just as beautiful as he was in Dawson's Creek!!!

Vamp Jenny I think you'll also like Peter/Walter's relationship as son & father.

Right now, Peter can't really stand his father, but I suspect that by the end of S1 if anything happens to Walter he's going to make the impossible to help him 🙂

I feel like there's something I am missing... I just finished watching episode 2x11 "Unearthed" and agent Francis was there...
but he died in the first episode of the season, the shapeshifter burned him. And said shapeshifter was killed by Olivia a few episodes later... And nobody seems to mind that he's supposed to be a rotting corpse... So is it agent Francis of the other side? Will there be an explanation as to why and how he is still there?

Yes, keep going! 🙂

I was going to start a conversation about the season finale so I went to read the Wikipedia summary and realized that I never watched the 2-part finale! How the heck did that happen lol?! I know- it's because we had too many things recording on Friday nights (we also recorded Friday Night Smackdown & Grimm), & I usually catch it on OnDemand the next day. I guess I assumed that Worlds Apart was the finale. Well lucky for me I have some Fringe episodes to catch up on! 🙂

Just finished watching S3. Someone please tell me that
Peter isn't gone for real... He's coming back, right????

You're going fast. I like that. You really want to know about your spoiler?
Then I suggest you start on season 4 as soon as you can. Yes I can be evil but I'm not convince that you want to know. But if you do and don't know yet I'll tell you. I'm not heartless.

I finished S4 this morning. My marathons are quickly done, because I can't stand the wait.

I'm SO happy of how it turned out!!! I even knew before they did that
Olivia was pregnant

And now I'm totally obsessed with science. I think I'm going to watch Numb3rs XD

I'm addicted to this TV show!!! Another to add to my long list!!!
