I think that's pretty straightforward - considering the fact that the Hellmouth is situated below Sunnydale and that the Ubervamps came from the caves beneath the Seal.

Well it just seemed to me, at first to be about the first because buffys dreams didnt involve the hellmouth etc they involved agents of the first and i thought that because when we first saw the first or agents of they where underground, it seems stupid now cos we know about the seal etc but at first this is wha i thought it meant

I thought while watching Chosen...about how The First must've known how it was all gonna play out...From beneath you, it devours...I thought this meant Sunnydale being 'swallowed' from beneath...
