I like fruit. But I hate to peel oranges. Especially without a knife. It just always ends up a mess. I really wanted an orange but I just spent 15 minutes peeling it and now I don't really want it anymore :')
But, to make this sort of an useful thread, what do you think about oranges? And about fruit? And about healthy stuff in general? Do you like it? Or do you just take vitamin pills (like some people in this house.. ^^)? What's your favourite? And do you maybe have any nice recipes? (I loooove to cook ^^)

I hate it when oranges do that! But otherwise, I quite like healthy stuff. Proper healthy stuff I mean. Stuff you make yourself, not "healthy option" readymeals and nonsense like that. Although, Diet soft drinks are the exception, cause they just plain taste better. Except Diet Pepsi, cause that just sucks, but Pepsi Max is king of all liquids.

What was I talking about? Oh, yeah, helathy food. I like it, but I don't go out of my way to avoid fatty or sugary things though. They taste good for a reason. EAT THEM!

I'm usually a really picky eater, but ironically enough, I love pretty much all types of fruits and vegetables. I only like vegetables when they're raw, though. And I don't like salad dressing, dip, or anything like that. I know, I'm a total weirdo.

I like healthy food, it's just that it doesn't last long enough, like chips will sit happily in the cupboard for 3 months not complaining or going bad, but delicious crispy apples will only last about 2 weeks 🙁 which means I'm often spending money just to throw stuff away! But my office now gets the 'healthy fruit box' every week, so now I can just eat fruit at work, FOR FREE!

I love pretty much all fruit besides all things in the melon family (ie honeydo, cantelopes, watermelon etc.) don't know what is... watermelon to me has always tasted like coke after the ice has gone all melty in it. My very favorite fruit is called "quenepas", its spanish, not sure if theres a word for it in english, but its delicious only found in the carribean and I'm so freaking happy cause my mom just sent me some 🙂 I have a weird habit with bananas, I eat them with a slice of american cheese wrapped around it... it may sound gross but its actually seriously good, its something that stuck with me as a kid cause all my older cousins ate it that way, lol.

I can afford fruit. I een got some kiwi's and apples in the fridge...but I'm referred 'people in the house' who eat vitamin pills 😛 I know they are not really a valid substitut, but at least they contain some stuff that's supposed to be good for you. The thing is, I just never really liked ruits. Vegetable, I'm okay with, but fruits? Well, there's also the thing that I don't really like any sweet drinks (especially juice (well except tomato juice or vegetable juice, but those are not sweet), but also other sweet drinks), so I think there might be a connection there....

I love Fruit and eat it every day. Apples and Bananas most regularly. As for peeling oranges, they can be very messy little suckers if you don't have a knife but i find the Tupperware citrus peeler very handy; it's one of those things you get as a prize at a tupperware party and it makes peeling an orange very easy.

Also the apple peeler machine is really cool too

He. I´m pretty sure I got me one of those. Yes, I´ve been to Tupperware parties... Never used it yet though. I only eat oranges then I have a knife. 😉 But now I feel the need to test it out. Need to buy me some oranges.

I like both fruits and vegetables. How much I eat varies very much though and it change with the seasons of course. My all time favourite is clementines Especially in december. Around cristsmas I can almost live on those (and gingerbread). Not the most recomendable diet but I sure could. I also eat a lot of bananas but they can´t be "old" and soft. Then it´s more or less yuck. That´s why I love this so much. So simple but oh so great. lol

I eat fruit when I have intension too, I like to make juice with them too, the oranges mostly. In fruit and vegetables I like (I'll show pics, I don't know all of them in english 😀) strawberries, this & apples

I can't come on the other right now, but I'm sure there are some yet 🙂

I do absolutely love some fruit and vegetables. It's all so fresh and sweet tasting. I don't have the best diet but I try to keep things in moderation. Try... Sometimes you need a deep-fried pizza. But I used to have a really bad diet and it just makes you feel like crap after a while. Fruit is yummy.

I'm sort of a very fussy person when it comes to food so I don't like a lot of fruit but I do LOVE oranges, they're my favorite, I also really like apples too!

I love summer fruits, like berries, peaches, cherries, things like that. Unfortunately they're only here for a couple of months and, expensive. But when I see them, I buy them ^^ I also like citrussy fruit, like oranges, clementines, lemons (yeah, I eat lemons) and green apples (you know the sour ones)
But it's annoying that fruit is so expensive, apart from gross flour-y apples. That's unfair.
Oh, and grapes! I also love grapes!

And btw, that orange yesterday, it was worth the wait cos it was a very nice one ^^

I'm more of a veggie guy myself anymore, I like bland fruits like apples and pears white grapes.

Citrus stuff and hybrid fruit...is it an apple or is it a pear.... not so much.

Oh, and boy do I love a good cantalope!

One of my friends I know from work lives in Wisconsin and has a massive garden. He just gave me two shopping bags half full of lemon cucumbers and satan's hot peppers.

The cucumbers are great, they are round and you can eat them much like an apple. They have kind of a natural tangy skin (guess thats where the 'lemon' comes from) and the seeds are abit sweet. Overall I really like em'! They suprised me and tasted much better than they looked. They looked sort of odd and unappetizing being all round and bumpy.

I absolutely love hot and spicey stuff. These peppers are not Jalipeno...maybe habenero's(?) They are so freaking hot it's funny. I swear they give you a buzz. I cut some up the other day and added them to my helping of my supper (taco bake). Two days latter, the skin on the fingertips that handled those peppers are peeling away. I'm not a big drinker anymore, but my brother-in-law and I made some bloody marys and besides using v8 spicy, I threw in some sliced peppers on a big ol tooth pick. The peppers bled into the bloddy mary. Best bloody mary I've ever had, and we even used cheap vodka. (It was an inpulsive porch sitting, sun going down kinda thing, and I had no vodka on hand and when i went to buy some...man that craps expensive!)

I trying to have a kinda more healthy life style. I've cut out the energy drinks, and switched to just coffee....which I hear is a fruit? Caffeine does not do what it use to for me anymore. It doesn't make me more alert or awake, (i might get alittle twitch with energy drinks) Yet, if i forgo the almighty caffeine, I feel ill. I get a headache and the idea of eating will make me erppy.

Getting away from sodas and Monster drinks is a pretty quick way to drop afew pounds. it's been happily working for me.....or maybe those peppers I've ate are just slowly digesting me! Turns about fair play I guess!

Wow, I've blathered alot.
